Has anyone had experience with red light/near light therapy to combat PD? It sounds very promising from the articles I have seen.
I think the trials to date have been small scale, but a trial with mice showed how effective it could be.

Request from Dr. Laurie Mischley
I'm guessing that a lot of you already participate in Dr. Mischley's newly-renamed Modified Variables in Parkinson's study. For those who do not: If you are taking high-dose B1 and/or using red light therapy (or other non-mainstream treatments) and have seen results, positive or otherwise, please consider

Getting through airport security with the Coronet light therapy
I am flying domestically (US) in a couple of weeks and internationally to London in November. I want to take my Coronet with me but think it is will get squished if packed in a suitcase for checked luggage, so I am considering carrying on. Does anyone have experience going through airport security

Rhinitis and uncontrolled asthma
I have had uncontrolled asthma recently, I'm on symbicort 200/6, montelukast 10mg and also have bad rhinitis to the point I can barely breathe through one nostril. Doctor prescribed me flonase which me feel really ill, which is a shame as it cleared my nose. Does anyone else have suggestions of nasal

Stopping meds
I wanted to see what the effects might be. How soon does the body deteriorate after stopping L-Dopa? I stopped Rytary 9 days ago. I've had two mild bouts of dizziness. And as can be seen on this shopping list my hand writing has gone from bad to worse. I wondered if there might be withdrawal

Ugly disease
Hi everyone…. Not having a good day and just wondering if anyone else feels the way I do. I call this PV an ugly disease because it has taken away all the things that human beings take for granted. I am extremely symptomatic in that I feel and suffer all the symptoms PV has to offer!! Can’t take a 60

Sunlight and red light therapy
I am wondering if it would be beneficial especially for people who don’t have access to a red light hat or similar to go into the sun for a short while each day and face it with eyes closed allowing light into their eyes through their eyelids. Any advice for anything that can help with energy?
Hi everyone, I am just wondering if anyone on here has had luck with any medication or homeopathic remedy that will help with severe exhaustion? Is anyone else taking rhodiola rosea?
Hubby has been taking rhodiola now for a month, 1 per day for 2 weeks then 2 per day. He is doing very well this winter considering usually winter is when he falls to pieces. He is better than he has been for 5 winters! He is laughing, proactively doing things, and is interested in things. The rhodiola

HAS ANYONE TRIED......
Hello all! I'm so impressed with everyone sharing their RLS strategies on this site and want to say thank you. I would love to hear from folks who might have tried any brain/nervous system modulation strategies, ie: tCDS, (trans cranial direct stimulation) rTMS, PEMF, neurofeedback, red light therapy

Sun and skin
I know we have plenty else to concern us just now. This is not a warning, just a researcher's insights into the interaction of sun and skin. And who knew about phototherapy in autoimmune disease? https://www.theguardian.com/science/2021/jul/11/prue-hart-sunburn-skin-melanin-sun-protection-uv-cancer

Infrared light
We talk a lot about exposure to full daylight or replacement light therapy lamps during the day and avoiding the blue end of the light spectrum during the evening. Normal full spectrum sunlight wakes you up and produces serotonin that then helps produce melatonin later when light exposure stops. Daylight

Red light therapy belt
For all of you interested in RLT, I looked into various models. The coronet was way too expensive for me. I came across this wrap and I’m very happy with it. It can lay flat (for over abdomen etc) or you can make a crown and slide it on your head. It is red and nearinfared. Really well made. I bought

Red/Infrared light therapy - any short term side effects?
For those of you using red/infrared light therapy, did you have any short-term (or long-term) side effects? Yesterday was my first day using the duo coronet light therapy and I did both a morning and evening session. It's pretty comfortable and easy to use. However, I had a dull headache all day,

Red light Therapy for rls
I am 75 and have had quite bad rls for about ten years. For three weeks I have continued to take high dose magnesium (600 mg) plus shining my Beurer IL 50 infrared heat lamp on my legs for 8 minutes every second night. This takes rls symptoms away. Is this a placebo effect or is there some solid science

Photobiomodulation aka light therapy article in The Weekend Australian
I know several people on this forum have light helmets - some from Tasmania. This article appeared in my FB feed. There was also an article in The Weekend Australian but I believe that to be behind a pay wall. https://surfershealth.com.au/news/2021/05/20/groundbreaking-trial-finds-that-infrared-light-therapy-for-parkinsons-disease-reduces-symptoms-and-improves-the-gut-microbiome
