Lung test results
Recent Lung test shows an FEV1 of 890ml FEV1/ VC ratio of 42%, not really sure how good this is, not due to see specialist for 6 months but have had several breathless episodes since lung test. Steroids, nebulisers only limited improvement. Any thoughts will be gratefully read.

Hi This was my fvc results last week fev1 127 per cent ok with fev1 but gas anyone ever had such a high fvc. Wondering if this high is as bad as being low lol, BLF nurse was surprised as well especially as I have a very large lung bulla, any ideas?

I will try again just finished my p r course and research for local uni.using a lung machine nearly gave up half way because I developed a cough and sputem and felt a lot worse than when I started.Had a test at uni and I had gone from fev1 66% to 83% so had cleared the sputem I didn't know was there.

Any ideas?
My GP is concerned that my fev1 has gone down significantly in the past year. She wants to try me on Sebring breezehaler instead of spiriva. Has anyone else tried this inhaler? I believe it is new on the market. I have looked at old posts and some people seem to be on fostair instead of serevent - any

hello! I'm new here
so I'm not too sure whether I comment on the question or a post so I'm just going with the flow at the moment! basically, I get a lot of pain in my jaw, my left arm, my back and in my chest and upper abdomen.. I've gone to multiple doctors and they all said I'm fine, that my heart is fine and my lungs

How are all the folk who had ablations in April and May?
It would be good to hear progress reports from you all. Ihad my second ablation on May 12th in Birmingham. It has taken me a while to feel ' normal'!!! There are lots of discomforts to get over!! And some people take longer than others..being 64 slowed me down!! I had migraine in recovery and daily

Phew .... another year, another test
Had my annual lung function test yesterday ..... the results are pretty much the same as two years ago and slightly better than last year, when, with hindsight, I now know I had had an infection brewing. I didn't do quite as well in the 6-minute walk test, but the nurse thought that may well have

ICU 2008 my storey
Due to my falling stats I was told to put on a large cylindrical clear
pvc
hood so they could put more Oxygen into me. I am afraid that it was not long before I had to have it taken off. I was so hot it was making me feel even worse. It was not long after that I was taken to ITU I went Blue.

My fev1 was 57 and I was diagnosed with moderate emphysema in May. My ankles and feet have been swelling lately. Is this a symptom of copd?

How did that happen? Severe asthma/COPD? age 48, no symptoms, FEV1 31.38% MRC scale 2-3
Hi guys beware newbie on this site, I have just been diagnosed. What a shocker. Has anyone got any similar experience? I feel a little too young for this, also no symptoms (or am I too busy to notice and take care of myself?) How was it for you?

Can anyone help I have diastolic dysfunction grade 1, ectopics, pvcs, top and bottom of the heart. I have been in hospital with tachycardia a few times. I am having breathlessness upon exertion. Just quick question.
Is a FEV1/FVC OF 79% a good one? My FEV1 is 81% predicted. My FVC is 127%. My GP said I was to ignore all other figures on my Lung Volume Test as you would have to be a maths teacher to work it out. I was advised the most important one to watch was the FEV1. Just going through my old paper work

Hi all, this is my first post. Would be great to get some feedback. I have been diagnosed with moderate-to-severe asthma. I am a 33 y.o male
My FEV1 ranges between 52-60% before bronchodilator and 62-68% after bronchodilator. I have never smoked and am a healthy weight. I am really concerned about the natural loss of FEV1 with age, given that I am still relatively young. My FEV1 in absolute terms sits at around 2.65L (I am on Symbicort 2

Well as you all know my story and recent medical facts, I had a final appointment with my GP who for the past 4 years has put me through my passes (GOD LOVE HIM) but don't want to see another doc as long as i live lol. I have had the good news, i can fly with my bollous emphysema stage 1 with no medication

Confused
Just got back from doing a lung function test at the hospital. FEV1 94% and FVC 121%. I thought this sounded quite good but the fev1/fvc % is 65% which is 5% lower than last time (2 months ago) when my FEV1 was 85%. I gave up smoking 5 months ago and I just can't make sense of it. Seeing consultant
