Yes, occasionally - they tend to be a single "missed beat" though when it happens to me, rather than a series of them.

Sometimes, very short runs of a second or two, but then I get those other times as well so it's hard to know if they're linked...

Oh yes! My Lone PAF journey all started with gulping quickly a pasty immediately after a brisk walk uphill this set off a 4 hour episode of AF-how different life would have been if I'd only walked by that pasty shop!! Since then I've learnt my lesson to carefully chew food to avoid that bolus on swallowing and not to over extend my stomach - I also have to be really careful with pasta and rice. If it does start to 'jump' following eating I find nipping my nose and pushing out into my cheeks usually stops it.

Over-eating definitely has an effect! I am more careful about quantities now, of whatever I eat and that's usually healthy stuff. What really bugs me is that my weight has remained the same. So unfair!!

Same here Mamamarilyn. I have exactly the same experience. At the moment, I'm avoiding bread almost completely, trying to keep each meal around 300 calories, no snacking, avoiding sugar (diabetes 2) and keeping up linedancing 2 - 3 times a week. I have managed to shed a couple of pounds, but it's taken 6 months! I am convinced it's my age. I'm just not in a hurry any more, because my body won't go faster than a crawl. Even dancing doesn't really challenge me, you would be surprised how easy it is to shuffle, rather than REALLY dance! Also, many line dancers are quite chunky, so it doesn't work for them either! Sorry, I've gone off the point. I definitely cannot eat a big meal now, as I will get af. I like the suggestion to pinch your nose and blow, Trilby8, and will try that next time. JanR
