Nebuliser Advice
Hi, looking for any recommendations for a home nebuliser. I’m an asthma sufferer, not chronic but bad enough. Ventolin inhalers work for the most part but where I live it’s a 80 mile trip to renew my inhaler, sometimes they are out of stock. I live outside the UK, Ventolin are available in the pharmacies

Alvesco 160 alternative
Has anyone ever had to use an alternative to Alvesco 160?, Is there a suitable alternative?. I have had to call 6 different pharmacies today to try to obtain my Alvesco 160 . All have advised it is not in stock and it is coming up manufacturer problems. They are unable to obtain it. I managed to locate

Doctor said its Covid
I am not sure this is the right place to post but I am worried and frightened. I have an anxiety disorder and I’m 35 years old. I also have sinus tachycardia. I started 10 days ago with Covid symptoms after daughter and husband tested positive. I am now on an inhaler as I keep getting shortness of breath

Untreatable Asthma?
Most asthmatics I know use a daily inhaler and rescue when exercising and are okay. I use a daily max and Albuterol in between every day even though I don't exercise. I think I have something more sinister going on. I just can't move around much, because breathing so bad. I think it's something nuerological

Links between asthma meds and purpura
Does anyone know if there is a proven link between asthma inhalers and skin thinning/purpura/skin fragility/bruises, especially on forearms and lower legs?

Inhalers
I've been on Trimbo inhaler for 2 years, the first 18 months I found it better than my old one, but these last 2 months I don't feel any benefit from it. Do you think your body needs a change after a while, I'm more breathless than usual & think it's worth trying a different one. Has anyone found

Why is 2 puffs of my Salbutamol inhaler not always working?
The last few days I’ve had to use my inhaler a lot more than usual, mostly in the middle of the night and after an episode of coughing. The last 2 days though, I’m finding that 2 puffs is not enough- I’m needing either 3 or 4. Is this normal? I’m aware that I need to speak to my team about needing my

Breathless
Hi everyone, I hope that you are all keeping safe and coping as well as you can with this dreadful pandemic and chronic ill health? I have a question that may be silly but here goes. Before I became chronically unwell I had brittle asthma. Despite being on three different inhalers Bricanyl, Pulmicourt

Just learning ..
Hi another question from me as I’m new to this, hope everyone is well. I’m not seeing the GP til the 26th so just thought I’d ask some more advice. My Gp has given me a peak flow meter, prednisolone for 7 days and a ventolin inhaler. I predominately spoke about shortness of breath in the first appointment

Order of treatments?
Bit of a basic question but when it comes to inhaled treatments, I know the order is supposed to be: bronchodilator mucoactive treatments chest clearance steroids etc. I’ve been on the same regimen for a while but I’m a bit confused because my steroid inhaler is a combination inhaler so it’s a steroid

With the best will in the world I ran today. - fully intending to run 10k for my 75th anniversary of VE Day medal but it was not to be. When I ran on Tuesday it was 13 degrees and I ran in a short sleeve top and capris - today it was leggings and a long sleeve top and when I got home Garmin told me it

Hello, Until now my asthma has been well managed with my brown inhaler (clenil) and the odd puff of my reliever every so often. The past few weeks, I have been feeling far more tight chested and using my blue one more, I was switched to Fostair on Wednesday after upping the dose on Cenil (as I was

Spacer for Qvar
Hi I am trying to find a spacer for Qvar inhaler ( with a round nozzle), Google suggested Aerochamber plus but it seems to have an oval nozzle. Anybody using it with a spacer? Thanks

How long between nebulisers?
Evening everyone. I’ve just used my salbutamol nebuliser for the first time. I also now have saline solution to use in the nebuliser. Does anyone know if there a minimum time to wait in between using salbutamol and saline solution?

Fostair Palpitations
Hi all, I've just been switched from Sirdupla to Forstair, to try and get my asthma under control (ongoing issues for over 4 months).
