Hi

I am trying to find a spacer for Qvar inhaler ( with a round nozzle), Google suggested Aerochamber plus but it seems to have an oval nozzle. Anybody using it with a spacer?

Thanks

I think I managed to force my Qvar into the aerochamber as it was kind of squishable... could be wrong though as was a while ago.

Any spacer will do. They all have a rubbery insert slot so will fit round or oval.

If you’re in the UK tho, be aware that you can get them on prescription if you don’t want to/can’t afford to buy them off script (if you have a pre-paid certificate/exemption card etc and don’t pay for meds...). Also don’t forget to wash it frequently and replace it at least every 12 months!

I have an AeroChamber Plus. It has a silicone end with the harmonica sound in it to tell you if you're breathing too quickly, with a hole which is oval shaped but is mouldable to the circular Qvar. It worked fine. The whole silicone part pulls off for weekly cleaning.

I've used an aerochamber with a round nozzle Qvar inhaler and it seems to work fine. The aerochamber has a soft rubber end and I found the round nozzle can be pushed into the slot quite easily using a twisting motion. This doesn't appear to do any long term damage to the aerochamber.
