pros and cons of hysterectomy vs decapeptyl injections for fibroids
Hi- wondering if anyone else had to make a decision between continuing decapeptyl injections (simulate menopause to control fibroids) or having open hysterectomy? Been on the injections a year now. There isn’t much research on long term use of injections which ‘switch off’ your hormones, and I can

Starting a fresh egg collection straight after a failed FET
I had my third embryo transfer on Friday - today is 3dp5dt. The transfer itself went smoothly but I am not feeling confident as since then I have had no symptoms. I know people say they get a positive with no symptoms, but I have been pregnant twice before (both ended in mc) and had really obvious cramping

endometriosis and external (not in uterus) fibroid surgery
I’m preparing for embryo transfer and wanted to get an endometriosis and fibroid surgery first. Does anyone have advice on this? Should it be done at all? They will do three small incisions for the laparoscopy for endometriosis and take out the fibroid vaginally. Could any of this healing impact embryo

Anyone not stopped bleeding during FET prep?
Hi gang, We’re currently prepping for another FET and have a situation I’ve not come across before. I took Provera to induce a bleed this time as there’s a shortage of Norethisterone which I usually use. Took forever for period to start, then started progynova on day 2. Usually during prep for a

How much would 7 days of buserelin roughly cost?
Hello, I am potentially going to need to add Buserelin into my next cycle to keep me down regulated. It wasn't planned because my ERA is having to be repeated because there was too much tissue and not enough medium in the sample so the tissue wasn't testable when it got to the clinic... But that's

Asking a question on behalf of my Mum with regards to a hysterectomy. Ladies who have had it what did you keep?
My mum is 51 has always suffered with extremely heavy periods and as she has gotten older this has gotten significantly worse. After being put on iron tablets and tranexamic acid by the GP with not much relief she was referred to a gynaecologist. The gynaecologist examined her and said her uterus

Polyp removal
Hello ladies, I want to have a small polyp in my uterus removed before further IVF treatment. Any recommendation for a reputable specialist at reasonable price? I'm living in Basingstoke. Best wishes for you all!

Elevated PSA due to Tagrisso?
Hi all: My 79 y.o father has been on Tagrisso for nearly a year now. He just had his PSA levels tested and there's a bit of an increase. I'm wondering if anyone out there has had the same experience? (He does have a history of BPH and experienced urinary urgency soon after starting on Tagrisso.)

My gynaecologist was nearly struck off !!!!!!
Update - I've just googled 1 of my gynaecologists, he did my 2nd lap for endometrial cyst removal and diagnostic. He was nearly struck off for poor management of a terrible surgeon. Ok, not for himself being a bad surgeon, but doesn't really fill me with confidence. Pretty high profile woman was

Next steps after 1st IVF consultation? When do you Start to take meds in your cycle advice…
Hey lovelies, So any advice would really help me. I’ve had such a long ride to get to this point. My partner and I were approved NHS ivf funding in March 2021 (male factor Azoospermia) and it was a long waiting list (9 month wait). We, get to December and my partners sperm retrieval surgery is unsuccessful

Restless legs &Leg pain
I'm sorry to hear the pain you are having in legs. Some good information in the feedback . when I get leg pain I drink tonic water , as it has quinine in that really helps only a couple of glasses though .I think you have to be careful with quinine.

Finally…!
After what feels like an eternity, I am finally starting the ivf meds tomorrow. I’ve waited for this day to come for months and months but now it’s here I am terrified -but not exactly sure what of?! I’m guessing it just makes everything seem very real. Nafarelin instead of buserelin injections as

possible sign of OHHS
today I had extreme severe pain in stomach all of a sudden. This is 2 weeks after embryo transfer. Doctors said possible OHHS or Ectopic as they cannot see anything in uterus. Could this be because it’s too early? (4 weeks pregnant) the pain went after the doctors gave me Paracetamol IV drips, has anyone
