physical anxiety before mental
Does anyone else experience physical anxiety symptoms before the mental. My comes and goes quite often (even being on Prozac for a year). I would wake up extra tired, feel sluggish, unmotivated, disoriented. Then the following day still feel that way then the mental part kicks in. Last anywhere from

Is it time to give up?
I started the programme during lockdown at the age of 66. I’d never run before and I loved it. I was reasonably fit having been a keen hiker for most of my life but it took me almost 2 years to complete the programme because of a series of injuries along the way, including shin splints, plantar fasciitis

Support to understand ADHD
Hi all, looking for some advice as I am feel very low, sad and unnoticed, and trying to make sense of it all. My boyfriend hasn't been diagnosed with ADHD, in fact before we met no one in his life ever noticed it - how I will never know as he has so many symptoms of ADHD. Of course I am no-one to diagnose

Dreading travel with family
Hi everyone, just looking for some advice here, as my therapist isn’t being much help. In 6 weeks my family (5 in total) is going overseas, and I am honestly dreading being around them 24/7. We are doing a 130km walk, and then travelling around Europe for a month. I suppose I am fearing two things

Any Help to break free of this rut I'm in??
I have battled mental illness most of my life(I'm 52). In 2015 in the span of a couple of months I found out my eldest daughter had been in a mentally abusive relationship, that eventually caused her a liver infection from being unable to eat a normal meal. She too has battled anxiety all her life. They

COVID, FND, and Cymbalta Ruined My Life
This is a long story, and I apologize in advance for any, bitter angry undertones. I'll skip all of the grief I've had in life and the hard times that I've experienced. I'll try to keep it to the medical issues. It will feel good to tell a part of my story, arguably the hardest I've been through.***Trigger

what do you do when you have no reason to get better?
I already don't want to exist as is. The amount of effort that it would take to get a psychiatrist just so I can get my brain to an okay level sounds ridiculous. On top of that I don't have any friends that I would consider trustworthy. I don't have any family that I can rely on either. I don't work

How did your family's first react to an ADHD diagnosis.
Diagnosed as an accomplished adult. First of all, My family were the ones to strongly encourage me to seek help and medication after dealing with my forgetfulness, restlessness, interrupting, and zoning out for years. Im feeling better, I'm overcoming the "grief" process, I'm getting help. But I feel

Online therapy
Hi all - This is my first post. I tried Lyra through work, and after a quick intake discussion, the therapist told me about Lyra's process. She said it's very goal-oriented and sounded pretty intensive... she said most people would be able to exit the process at 8-10 sessions with the skills they needed

Severe intrusive thoughts
Hello I have a family member that is in dire need of help. They have recently become homeless and have tried many different treatments and medications for their severe OCD which presents in rituals and severe intrusive thoughts and mood swings. I am at a loss on how to help this relative. No one takes
