Relapsed again.... mother and baby unit?
Out of curiosity, are mother and baby units for mothers that have just given birth or for those mums struggling and relapsed years down the line? Thanks

PP before birth?
My
psychosis
started a month before I gave birth. It continued into postpartum but my big episode happened before I gave birth... would that still be considered pp? I’m having difficulty getting answers and a proper diagnosis. No one seems to know anything. Desperately looking for more information.

Aripiprazole- feedback pls
Hi, I had PP in 2010. Been relatively well since then, but had a lot of stress in the last year (a shock bereavement) and have been put on olanzapine 2.5mg as a mood stabilisor. I have been continually on the SSRI- sertraline for severe PMS, which helps a lot. The psychiatrist I recently saw, said I

Bipolar, Borderline Personality Disorder, Post-Partum
Psychosis
and Post-natal Depression, had horrible things said about you in your medical records, How dare they? It was such a surreal experience. As I have said before, I believe in God, and what goes around comes around.

GRAVES AND THYROTOXICOSIS : NEURAL AND MENTAL CHANGES
Rarely, patients develop visual or auditory hallucinations or a frank
psychosis
. The latter may not completely clear up after thyrotoxicosis has been treated. It is probable that thyrotoxicosis makes manifest an abnormality already present rather than inducing a
psychosis
de novo.

ERP Help
I should add- my OCD fears tend to center around getting into thought loops about not knowing the answers to philosophical questions; fearing going crazy/developing mental illnesses such as
psychosis
and schizophrenia; and the fear of self harm and becoming suicidal.

Things are not as bad as they seem.
It's a neurosis not a

. Bear in mind you're not going to feel like this forever.
