Starting the journey Interested in comments Gleason 5+4 Met to Lymph and Maybe ribs
I have just started this journey, and am deciding on treatments now. 60 years young with a Gleason 5+4
PSA
hovering around 7. My PSMA PET showed one lymph near pelvis for sure, and possibly a rib neat top on left side.

2Nd Biopsy in 3+ years of Bone Met
But now his
psa
numbers are starting to climb. (From .04- .15 in the last 3 mos.) His onc. has requested another biopsy from a newly discovered lumbar lesion (via psma scan 2 weeks ago). We are curious, in what ways will this 2nd biopsy provide info. for next phase of treatment?

PSA
was 77 in Jan and dropped to 23 after starting ADT treatment and already feeling better with much less urinary symptoms. I was advised to start radiation treatment but doctor advised to wait for PSMA PET scan (Still waiting for scan).

BAT trial
After 1 week my
PSA
flared from 50 to just over 90, in other circumstances this would have sent me into a major meltdown but the experts assure me this is a common occurrence and it is possible my
PSA
will remain elevated while I receive the testosterone boosters.

Meeting with our oncologist for castrate resistance metastatic prostate cancer
He told me his dad's numbers (testosterone 39 and
PSA
2.8) are still pretty low and if it wasn't for the pain we would keep him on the Xtandi for a bit longer while the
PSA
increased. After Zytega he said we don't have many good options, given my dad's age (81) and frailty.

Keytruda - year 4
Finally I was able to get a PSMA Pet scan to ID the source of the
PSA
. I had trouble getting support for more radiation, but finally got it zapped. Palliative of course! Following the high dose proton beam radiation my
PSA
has been reduced to 0.01.

LUPRON CASODEX FAILURE NOW WHAT
My
psa
started to go up while unicycle-a first, in November, pas rose to 8, since then and after a disaster of my cancer set up here, my pas has gone to 20. My testosterone has gone up from around 3 max to over 9 so no idea how or why this happened while on cycle.

I got some doubts about the know-how of my oncologist
. :) This post is sort of a follow-up on another I did back in August: https://healthunlocked.com/advanced-prostate-cancer/posts/149892314/need-help-in-understanding-
psa
-level-recurrence-after-treatment. My
PSA
level on Friday was 0.14.

seeking feedback on my case
I posted several mos. ago after being diagnosed with distant only metastatic -- GL7, low
PSA
, thought to be contained and headed for surgery, but asked for a PSMA -- showed 8-10 lesions in ribs and scapula. Mostly low SUV. Diagnosis changed from treatable to terminal.

Prostate cancer but normal PSA?
A month after my diagnosis and prior to any treatment, I modified my diet and started supplements and dropped my
PSA
by 30% from 29 to 20 just with diet and nutrition. Yesterday, they did a follow-up 1-month blood panel and my
PSA
came back as 2.7!!!

Pancreas problems after RT for prostate
My
PSA
levels have dropped and progress seems OK. I have also had M.E. and fibromyalgia for over 25 years and, as part of that, IBS. Since starting the hormone therapy and radiotherapy I became more and more constipated and my tolerance of foods (especially hi fibre) increasingly difficult.

Confusing news from oncologist
My dad started chemo in October with a
PSA
of 126. After 2 rounds of chemo, his
PSA
rose to 153, we saw some increase in his bone metastasis as according to the scans (posted about this previously).

Finished 8 Rounds of Docetaxel
Before starting Docetaxel my
PSA
was 23.8; after 8 rounds my
PSA
dropped to 5.7! My MO is giving me a 3 month break. I will get another
PSA
in 3 months and we will reassess my situation. My MO has already told me my next treatment will be pluvicto. Hopefully I won’t need it for quite a while.

Brain lesion
Current
PSA
is 0.025. It’s just confusing that after ADT works to remove all the symptoms including bone pain from bone mets, my dad was diagnosed with brain lesion after an MRI since he had mild stroke symptoms(slurred speech).

Gleason score change from 3+4 to 3+3 with perineural invasion noted under Active Surveillance
I recently had an MRI and
PSA
about 11 months into Active Surveillance. The MRI showed no change &
PSA
has moved from 4.2 to 3.6 to 3.1. While a rectal biopsy done 11 months ago showed one core of Gleason 7 (3+4), I just received results of an MRI guided Transperineal Biopsy.

New Here. Overwhelmed.
PSA
Blood test from a physical came back with a reading of 100. Biopsy results came back with 2 Gleason 4+4's and the rest 4+3's earlier this week. Appointment with urologist Monday to discuss these results. I'm feeling overwhelmed and scared. What is the next step for me?
