To scan or not to scan, that is the question.
I've had my two years on ADT, and now I'm 6 months into my "vacation" (iADT)
PSA
has hit 2.0, and the plan is to restart ADT when it hits 5.0. Assuming there are no complications, I'm okay with that plan.

Answer to unknown question
Instead of worrying about
PSA
and other test results my real concern was "what was likely to happen as the cancer progressed and would I know".

Anyone else suffering arm pains in conjunction with ADT hot flashes?
However, because of the combined impact of arm pain and other side effects of ADT including regular bouts of extreme debilitation, breathlessness and exhaustion, I decided to quit ADT in February 2023 once my
PSA
had returned and stayed at zero.

Should I sell and retire with PSA at 0.1 following 9 months undetectable?
Following nine months of undetectable
PSA
results, I recently received the news that my
PSA
is no longer undetectable and is now at 0.1. While this value is still relatively low, it has understandably caused me some stress and uncertainty.

Docetaxel and Carboplatin
My
PSA
is now up to 99.5. I have bone mets in my lower back and sacrum w periodic pain that’s controlled w pain meds. My oncologist is recommending a chemo concoction of Docetaxel and Carboplatin. It’s the last item on the shelf. Have any of you guys had this combo before? How did it go?

PSA
at diagnosis was 26 and first blood work after Lupron and Xtandi
PSA
was down to 3.6. Testosterone was down to 4. Second blood test due in two weeks. So far no bad side effects except for occasional hot flashes which are brief but it looks like things are trending in the right direction.

Two months later his
PSA
jumped to 22 .He’s been taking his medicine since last December January, and also completed six weeks of IMRT middle of March. I’ve attached his
PSA
all the way from 22 down to <.01 3 months ago. And now today’s
PSA
bumped up a little bit to <.10 .

Starting Chemo again, Cabazitaxel Has anybody experienced any side effects that have been unusually bad?
PSA
is now no longer a good indicator for disease progression. I'm not looking forward to doing this but it's what has to be done. I'm wondering if any of you guys have experienced any adverse side effects other than the usual nausea, hair loss etc.?
