Issues with Radiation Therapy and the location of the heart
Has anyone had issues with Radiation Therapy and the location of their heart? I went for my consult and they said that I have to have my expanders reduced more than the 180cc that I had removed before my consultation. Wondering if my "assigned" radiation oncologist really knows what they are doing, since

Silent reflux or something else?
I want to stop the
Protonix
because what if I already had low acid levels and it was making it worse.

Small fiber neuropathy and B12 deficiency
I was taken off
protonix
for GERD in August when I was found to have low B12. I’ve been managing fine with the occasional Tums, but now I’m having a sharp pain on my right side that I’ve had previously and was associated with gastritis.

Looking for guidance
I manage the IBS with diet modification and the reflux was managed with
protonix
for almost 2 years until my doctor took me off this August. In June, I hurt my back lifting too heavy in the gym. The pain lasted two days. I took it easy and was back to my normal self.

Medicare patients could lose access to advanced cancer treatment; i.e., Proton Therapy
This is very bad news for anyone anticipating or needing proton therapy. .From the article: [i]"If implemented as written, many cancer institutions would be in the difficult position of not being able to offer their patients proton therapy because the reimbursement rate would not adequately cover the

A difficult customer
Hello i've just joined this group so will summarise my experiences. I have a very understanding oncologist who has been very supportive but also refers to me, not always in jest, as her "difficult one". The reason is that I have rejected most of what is referred to as Standard Care here in the UK. I

New to this community. Just received prostate cancer diagnosis with 4+3 Gleason score.
Trying to decide course of action. Leaning toward proton therapy. Cancer is currently contained. So much info to process. It is overwhelming.

Heart attack and vibrations
I was wondering if it had to do with the
protonix
. Weaned off of it and the vibrations stopped about 6 weeks later. They were occurring about every 2-3 minutes and lasting about 15 seconds. Learned to tune them out. Docs just shrugged their shoulders...?

Hashimoto thyroiditis how do you tell?
Hi all, can anyone tell me you know if you have Hashimoto thyroiditis? I've never been told which I have. However, I got mine from cancer treatment so I had proton therapy to my neck and I got hypothyroidism as a side effect.
