If your PSA stays low I would stay on xtandi. Why quite a drug that is still working.

If PSA is good but you're having troubles with Xtandi side effects you may be able to reduce the dose from 160 to 120 or even 80mg / day and still have it effective in treating the cancer. Ask your oncologist.

There is absolutely no evidence that protons (or any other therapy) can cure you after there are distant metastases. Treating PSA is not the same as treating the cancer. We know that Xtandi extends life, there is no evidence that metastasis-directed therapy extends life. I'm not saying don't do it, just have reasonable expectations and don't give up on what we know are life-preserving therapies.

I'm trying to figure out what your situation is from previous posts - there's nothing in your profile. Has your prostate been treated with surgery or radiation? How many metastases in total have been discovered (it doesn't matter if they have disappeared), and where are those metastases?

Completed proton.but what concerns me is that MO at proton said I had 4 Mets both pelvis and 2 spine. My local MO read the same film and only 1 met right pelvis. How can two professionals read the same film and be that far apart.

You should be relying on what the radiologist report said.

cure? Where have I heard that word before? I suffered from terrible migraines but was cured when my wife left me.... (cure = nada)

It matters little as to whether one guy sees one met, the other sees four, the fact is that you cancer has spread, a cure is now impossible and Tal is right, do what works for as long as it does and quite playing around. The clock is ticking so make up a bucket list and live large man, spend time with loved ones or the boys at a bar, but do NOT sit and try to outguess your pc.
