I have had robotic prostatectomy and IMRT radiation and am on third round of intermittent hormone therapy for prostate cancer. I recently found out that I had positive lymph nodes for the first time and a small tumor forming near the sacrum.

I had a radical prostatectomy just over 2 years ago but still can't get an erection. I'm 65 now by the way. This "failure" led to thinking that everything I did was a failure too, and I avoided contact with other people as I thought they would see me as a failure.

After radical prostatectomy my erections returned pretty normally. After radiation less so, but with an understanding partner intimacy and orgasms were still there.

All of U who have had an open radical prostatectomy or a similar operation to remove lymph nodes near the prostate gland, can U tell me what the recovery was like, how much physical pain U had to endure, the time line to healing up, what was helpful to have around (I have heard a recliner is a necessity

The aim of this study was to evaluate the prognostic significance of progesterone receptor in tumor tissue of T1-3N0 prostate cancer patients undergoing prostatectomy.

I had a radical prostatectomy using the daVinci method just over a year ago. As I said in my previous post; I have tried Trimix for ED with mixed results.

The treatment I selected was Radical Retropubic Prostatectomy ( RP ) plus Image Guided Intensity Modulated Radiation Therapy ( IG - IMRT ) plus Androgen Deprivation Therapy ( ADT 2 ) : Zoladex 10.8mg and Calutide 50mg.

Underwent a radical prostatectomy which included removal of some surrounding nerves. Was cancer free for over 5 years. In January the cancer had returned with a PSA of 0.008. About a month later PSA was 0.01, a couple of months after that PSA was 0.04.

Good health otherwise, but still leaking (2 -3 pads/day) since Prostatectomy Jan, 2016. Nothing going on sexually yet either. (Taking Cialis 5mg/day). Also, pain in left testicle since operation, not huge but bothersome. Happy to be cancer free so far.

(Or a prostatectomy, of course. LOL) The primary cause of visceral fat is elevated triglycerides. The ideal number might be close to the HDL-cholesterol value. The triglycerides:HDL-C ratio is a surrogate for insulin resistence. >2 is unsafe & >3 is a serious problem IMO.

[6b] (2014 - Germany-Canada) This is one of those cute pre-prostatectomy interventions. They often last 3 weeks, but this one was 18-81 days (median = 41 days). The significant finding, IMO, relates to the Ki-67 protein [6bx]: "The Ki-67 protein ... is a cellular marker for proliferation.

I am three weeks out from having my prostatectomy. I am having some periodic blood clots and or bloody urine. Is that normal?
