Time for Salvage Radiation?
Following my
prostatectomy
in Oct 2018, my PSA was undetectable until May last year when it started to increase: 5/20 0.02; 8/20 0.03; 11/20 0.03; 4/21 0.06; 10/21 0.10. The RO I was referred to recommends salvage radiation (33 treatments over 7 weeks – 66 GY total).

Rising PSA - Scan or Biopsy
At that time, my urologist was suggesting that I choose a radical
prostatectomy
or radiation. Instead, I elected for AS, and my pcp referred me to a clinic that offered AS. In 2014, my PSA increased to 6.8 and my oncologist put me on Proscar and Cardura. The PSA dropped to 2.4.

TRUP vs. alternatives
Unlike
prostatectomy
for prostate cancer when the entire prostate gland is removed, in open simple
prostatectomy
the surgeon removes only the portion of the prostate blocking urine flow. Self-care may help Not all men with BPH need medication or surgery.

Exceptions to "early salvage" radiation treatment for recurrence after prostatectomy
Sometimes, it is unsafe to wait for a biochemical recurrence; sometimes, it is safe to put it off. https://www.prostatecancer.news/2021/10/exceptions-to-early-salvage-radiation.html

Dating post prostate surgery
Had my radical
prostatectomy
August 10th of this year. This weekend met someone and went out on a date Sunday night. It was good I was open and honest with my medical issues. My question to those that are single, how long after your surgery did you wait before getting back in the dating game?

Lutetium 177 candidates
I had a robotic
prostatectomy
in Oct 20. PSA started to rise in July 21. 1st PSMA PET scan was inconclusive so have just had another and waiting upon results. PSA now 12.3 10 weeks later. Is Lutetium 177 the best option available at the moment?

"There was [a 3rd planet], but not anymore."
I got a
prostatectomy
a week ago, Friday. I'm powering through all the pain, incontinence issues (I'm peeing - just not at times I'd like to), 1,000 trips to the rest room, and most importantly I feel people around me are treating this like "a day at the market."
