This is an example of propafenone in action.Went into arrhythmia, took pills and in a short while you can see the effect it had.Any sign of arrhythmia take tablets straight away don’t wait around any more, it only gets worse!

You've got a heart strap? It would be nice if other drugs worked as quickly. Anything I took made no immediate difference.

Hi Physalis

Yes I’ve got Polar H10 strap and I use Polar Beat app , works very well. The Propafenone works within 2 hours usually

I have a Polar H10 strap and I did get some readings from it but then it started playing up and, although I sent it back for repair, it was no better so I gave up on it. The one thing I learnt from it was how quickly the AFib could turn off and go from 140 to 60 in an instant. I thought it might go down slowly.

How did you put your picture in? I couldn't work out how to do that in a reply.

During the night (last night) I was awoken at 3.20am with a surging pulse. I popped on my finger pulse oximeter and it had dropped slightly to 144bpm. In a flash, I felt it stop racing and the reading dropped instantly from 144 to 74. Have seen it happen like that a couple of times. That was without pip meds. Roll on cardioversion number 3 next week.

I’ve been on Propafenone 3 a day for about 5 years now. I swear by it and if I do get a flare-up I just take an extra one at the time and I go back to sinus rhythm within an hour. (I have paroxysmal AFib)
