Zytiga??
Been on Lupron and Xgeva/
Prolia
ever since. I am now CRPCa as my PSA has been rising slowly over the last couple years. Last test in December was 5.551. My oncologist is starting me on Zytiga and Prednisone next week. I'm sure many on here have followed the same path. Wondering what to expect.

Looking for some guidance...
We had to wait for insurance to approve the
Prolia
injection and he got it (the injection) today. The plan is to have the Eligard injection every four months and the
Prolia
twice a year. Should we get an oncologist ??? A team approach makes sense to us.

Denosumab problems
Discontinuing denosumab (
Prolia
) can lead to vertebral fracture, apparently not related to the underlying osteoporosis, but to the development of microcracks in the bones from denosumab. Advice is to replace denosumab, not go cold turkey off the med.

Kentishgirl
, yesterday, he proposed
Prolia
! we are in the research process on this one but I have to say, it's chances are looking grim! it has about three pages of contraindications! I do have a little osteoporosis, i'm 81, good health, exercise daily, am I making the right decisions?

I finally have some blood work back, ISO opinion
My Gp diagnosed me as chemically induced osteoporosis from
Prolia
bone growth shots. He is referring me to a neurologist. But the good news is I lost some weight, which really surprised me.

Who'd of thunk it?
I had tested as having osteopenia in 2013 and been put on
Prolia
. This time, the scan showed no issues with bone density at all. I was very surprised, as was the staff. They also ordered a CT / Pet scan with NaF (sodium fluoride).

Preparing for Round Two
My urologist put me on Zoladex (goserelin) and a bone strengthener
Prolia
(Denosumab). The effect was immediate and my PSA plummeted to undetectable. When it started to rise, my oncologist placed me on bi-calutamide and once again it went down to undetectable again.

Stopping prolia
I received my first injection of
Prolia
early June. I have had some side effects and decided not to take anymore. My question ( for those who have taken
Prolia
) is have you gotten any adverse effects from stopping the drug.

Denosumab (Prolia) injection - has anyone had any experience with it?
Hi I haven't posted for a while. I had breast cancer back in May 2014 and had a total mastectomy and lymph node removal. Although at the time no mets were found at a later CT scan a "shadow " was found on my spine (this was about 18 months ago). A PET scan revealed it was not active and my oncologist

I just found this site, TU!, and here is a synopsis of what's going on with me.
They put me on Fermara for 5 yrs, after 2 yrs of chemo, and then bone growth
Prolia
ever 6 months. I missed 1 shot, and so had 1 in a yr, and they think my hyperthyroid, {perhaps graves disease} along with the missed shot, caused my back to literally break.

Prolia and osteoporosis
I was just wondering if anyone out there had a
prolia
shot, had similar side effects. Also, if so, how long did the side effects last. Thanks for any and all positive or negative responses on
prolia
. Barbara

For the pro. Nutrients, digestion, autoimmune disease and prednisone
I am getting shots of
prolia
. I would hope anyone reading your post would take heed of your advice. A special thank you for the article in the New Yorker magazine from 2013. It takes a very smart pro to find this in a New York magazine from England or Italy and post it for all to see.

Strontium ranelate stopped working
and I would be interested to hear if anyone has experience of another good drug, I don't want oral bisphosphenates, and was looking at
Prolia
or Aclasta. Thank you for listening.

CNS vasculitis - I'm new here
I am also still on prednisolone but after losing 10% of my bone density in the space of 12 months, I now have a
prolia
injection every 6 months. I am holding pretty steady on this treatment, but my doctors are no longer hopeful that I will achieve remission.

Bone idle
I then tried the six monthly
Prolia
injection to which I experienced lots of side effects for the duration of the six months. It has now been suggested to try Strontium Renelate. I am quite anxious about starting this as I am now feeling so much better having had four months break from the meds.
