Alternative to oral bisphosphonates
I may have to come off
Prolia
and I’m aware of possible rebound fractures if you don’t take a relay medication of bisphosohonates. I’m unable to tolerate oral bisphosohonates. My question is what can I take? Or am I doomed to having yet more fractures.

Strontium citrate
I saw a specialist who recommended
Prolia
. I decided to wait for a year and investigate options to
Prolia
. I learned about Strontium citrate on this list. I read some research papers which recommended a combination of Strontium, D, and K2.

My doctor is recommending prolia for my osteoporosis. Is anyone taking it and what do you think about it?
My doctor is recommending
prolia
but I don't know if I should take it after reading all the reviews. Risedronate did not work for me

Forteo input (good or bad)
I am still having fractures while on
Prolia
shots, so they want me to "upgrade" to Evenity or Forteo. I have a fair amount of input on Evenity, but none on Foreo. Any input would be appreciated.

Osteoporosis treatment for postTransplant
She wants me on
Prolia
. There are warnings on there about being immunosuppressed and at risk for developing serious infections. My doctor just said I still think it’s the safest choice for you. Reclast is supposedly worse for kidney. Are any of you taking
Prolia
and if so what is your experience?

Bone Density Scan
Endocrinologist is really pushing the
Prolia
. I have concerns about it. She verified that after stopping it I would be at risk for spine fractures and have to get on something else. I'm just wondering if I should be having another Scan before making any decision.

Attempting to transition off PROLIA…
I do appreciation as I got none of this from doctors I’m conflicted more than ever on how to get off
PROLIA
without losing bone strength & avoiding potential side effects of various Busphosphonates: AA, Zoledronic acid, Actonel.

ANyone taking Prolia for osteoporosis?
I have been hesitant to take
Prolia
as it will be in the body for 6 months and if I react, that is concerning. I had trouble with Forteo. All of my doctors feel that at this point, i really need to take it. i would appreciate any input. Healing hugs.

I will follow up with my primary, but they keep pushing
prolia
injections and I really don't want to do that. Best wishes everyone.

prolia and Actemra.
I noticed that some people on here have mentioned they are on
Prolia
and I wondered if they have found it helpful or if they have had any problems with it. Thanks for any information.

Prolia VS Evenity VS Forteo
Suffered my 1st fracture three years ago and was put on
Prolia
shots every six months. Since I am still fracturing (have had a total of nine), my endocrinologist wants to switch me to Evenity shots.

In the spirit of sharing
Both the rheumatologist and endocrinologist are pushing Tymlos or
Prolia
. I have not started any meds yet, trying to maintain (or maybe increase) bone density through exercise, diet, and some supplements. I do a lot of walking, some weight training and stay pretty active.

How long before CTx stabilises after stopping Prolia and relay med?
I've been off
Prolia
for 3.5 years (missed injection due Mar 2020) and stopped the relay bisphosphonate (Actonel with a few months on Fosamax) In Sep 2022. At that stage, my CTx was 410ng/L. I didn't have my CTx tested again until 7 Aug 2023, a year later, and found it was very high at 990ng/L.

Prolia 1yr Update
I wanted to share my
Prolia
results. One year ago my DEXA scan showed Osteopenia in the left femoral neck (T -1.1) and I started
Prolia
. I chose not to take Vitamin D or calcium as they were within normal range.

cost of Forteo, Tymlos, Evenity, Prolia in USA
Any tips on reducing the cost of Forteo, Tymlos, Evenity, or
Prolia
in the USA? Someone on another site posted that she orders her Tymlos injections through CVS and they are free. She hasn’t replied as to how she was able to accomplish that. Thanks for your help.
