Vyvanse

UGHHHHH! we finally found the right medication combination that has given my 15 yo daughter some relief. It has literally taken years. She is taking 100 mg Pristiq and 30 mg of Vyvanse. of course, we are unable to find generic Vyvanse anywhere. Any thoughts or suggestions would be appreciated. We have 4 more pills left then we are out. She has inattentive ADHD, depression, and newly diagnosed ASD. Thank you!

Sorry to hear that you are affected by the shortage, when you finally found something that helps.

Has she tried basically every other type of stimulants with no effect? Otherwise maybe a temporary change of generic vyvanse is a possibility!?

If you are unable to get the generic, but can get the non generic, Vyvanse has a "savings card" and it makes it MUCH more affordable if cost is an issue. Our son was switched to the generic as well, thankfully so far no shortage issues in our area. Good luck, so frustrating!

Not sure if you are in a larger city or not, but I keep a list of all the pharmacies that are somewhat close to us and each month start calling down the list until I find our med. I have had most luck lately at either a hyVee, Target, or sometimes the smaller surrounding towns have a family owned pharmacy. I have found them to be most helpful and kind so always check those first. Good luck!
