Prilosec

Nurse prior balked and told me to take a Tums or Prilosec acid blocker, to which I thought, hell no! Why would I wipe out stomach acid needed to absorb B12. In the midst of this latest flare up, I had a preliminary consult with a Naturopath (outside my traditional provider, I'm in the US.

Finally had endoscope which shows not much of anything that one takes Prilosec for....been taking for well over a year....I think it is actually causing my stomach issues. Anyone else had this experience? Will be meeting with GI and want to get off of this.

I have pretty severe GERD and take a large dose of Prilosec and pepcid daily. I've had eight back surgeries and have to deal with chronic pain, which is being treated with opioids. Forget trying to get a decent nights sleep. My BPH has me getting up 5 to 7 times a night for the bathroom.

I started on 20 got down to 6/7 now on 8 mg I take usual vitamins and Prilosec. My PA started me on Kevsara but had a reaction pain in neck scalp and eye woke me up. Did second shot same reaction so was told to stop. That’s why I’m up to 8 mg. Had my eyes checked all ok.

Also have u heard about any interactions with Prilosec??!! Thx

I stopped taking Prilosec since some people have posted issues with that. Yogurt has worked fine with any stomach issues. Also stopped magnesium. So just looking for some reasons! Thanks so much for any insights!

Some of the other drugs listed are also helpful such as I will switch off Nexium and use Prilosec or Famotidine for my acid reflux and others that I confirmed with pharmacist> Thank yuou PMR Pro and Winfong I will start it tonight - Hopefully moderately lactose intolerance, severe reflux and colitis

Was put on Pepcid and Prilosec, and the stomach symptoms have improved but haven't gone away, plus my lips are worse than ever and my tongue feels like the tip was burnt on hot tea. Plus bad fatigue--I am normally very active. My question is: can symptoms come and go?

Dr. prescribed Prilosec and Ventolin. By Christmas I had lost a lot of weight and decided that I should try going back on Prednisone. I took 10mg. and decreased every day down to 1 and stayed there and my appetite came back and the nausea subsided.

Dr. prescribed Omeprazole ( Prilosec I think) and Ondansetron.After a few days of not much relief I decided that it started with prednisone and maybe that's where I should go for relief.

Like it doesn’t always happen to me but it’s happened a couple times first times were with Zantac and now recently Prilosec like they turn into bad migraines it’s so odd

I would like to hear the experiences of the forum on the use of heartburn medications-specifically omeprazole (generic Prilosec) or cimetidine (generic Tagamet).

PPIs are used for acid control in the stomach, Prilosec, Prevacid, Nexium, etc. H2 blockers, Zantac, Pepcid AC. I was on Prevacid for a year for a bleeding stomach. I did not know until a few weeks ago that PPIs prevent your body from making a chemical called Nitric Oxide.

I hadn't had them for months other than when my GI had me try miralax and Prilosec. When I took atenolol as I was prescribed (25mg twice daily) I had daily ectopics. I'm starting to wonder if blog doctor was onto something.

Have tried Prilosec that seems to give me hot flashes and make my anxiety worse too. I need to find something that works.

My gerd has also come back full force trying Protonix instead of Prilosec because Prilosec seems to make my anxiety worse though protonix doesn’t seem to be working. Just trying to ignore the symptoms of anxiety and such though it’s hard especially with the sensations of gerd on top of it.

I'm on 80 pred, prilosec, plavix, crestor ( name of drugs may be different in UK and US) babbling now ( maybe its the pred.) Thanks for listening?? Do you think some symptoms I thought not related are? Sending love and healing wishes to you all!

Today I've taken prilosec, Tums and pesto bismol. I skipped the evening dose of V I'm so sick. Any help appreciated. Andi

Was told I would have to stop Prilosec. I tried to stop it previously and was miserable. Anyone found something effective for the pain of imbruvica?

I'm taking 40 mg of prilosec twice a day but it does very little. I cough a large volume of stomach acid throughout the day. Night time is even worse. It leaves my throat and nose on fire. In addition, when eating it feels like the food get stucks about 1/4 of the way down.
