1/2 mg of Prednisone and tapering to zero. There are many you tube videos to help you start this diet and see if it works for you. I weigh less than I did 25 years ago. I was NOT trying to lose weight but it happened. Carnivore diet helps with a lot of autoimmune issues.

I’ve been on the Zytiga/Lupron/Prednisone cocktail for about 13 months now. In that time, my A1C has shot up to where now I have diabetes. Now I know this is a possible side effects of this therapy. My question is, when I’m supposed to come off Zytiga (in about a year) does the A1C drop as well?

Could this be the prednisone? I have never had that in a cycle before or this symptom/side effect.

Back on amoxicillin and prednisone. How much longer can I go on. This time as always it's due to covid. I must have picked up every variant since this wretched virus began. I also have long covid and only one lung. Virtually housebound now. It's only amoxicillin keeping me going.

Do I need to up the prednisone higher or will it resolve itself. Was due to drop to 8 .0 mg 10/1.

So am I about at the right med spacing or need more Prednisone , or a little discomfort is acceptable if it’s relatively mild ?

I had really a lot of hair before taking prednisone ( started last September) but it is not thin, brittle and dry. It upsets me more than any symptom of pmr!! Any one know something that really works i would be pleased to hear. Thanks

Should I increase my Prednisone for a few days or see Physician for examination?

He’s also on prednisone and nubeqa, as well as his injection of Zoladex. Wondering if anyone else can shed light on their experience with chemo and if side effects get worse with each cycle of docetaxel?

So, I started some investigations into this and landed on my prednisone dosage. I found that one reason prednisone is given with Abi is because Abi blocks cortisol production and prednisone is given to help replace that lost cortisol. One of the effects of low cortisol can be increased fatigue.

This is my 3rd time having this but in the first two I fairly quickly responded to high doses of prednisone. This time the prednisone has made no difference. (100 mg). I am on V and O treatment, they have given me 2 rounds of IVIG, and today decided to try a dose of Mesoprednisone(?)

Just started Zytiga, prednisone and hormone shots for recurrent prostate cancer that has returned and spread to lungs. Just wondering if anyone else is taking these drugs and what their experience has been with side effects the first month or so. Thanks.

Hi everyone Does anyone have any suggestions on how to prevent infections or sickness while on prednisone? I've only been on a month and feel like i'm getting a cold. My temporal artery biopsy wound doesn't seem to be healing and I'm starting to just feel unwell.

Has anyone else been through this and still been able to eventually taper and get off prednisone? Peggy

I was diagnosed with polymyalgia in January and have reduced prednisone dose from 25 m/g to 4/5 m/g on alternate days. I exercise most days playing golf, doing aqua airobics or just walking.

Appreciate you whether Apalutamide and Darolutamide must go alongside Prednisone when taken. A million thanks.

I tapered down to 2.5 mg prednisone three weeks ago . When should I start the next taper ? And at this point do I taper in .25 doses instead of the . 5 difference? So do I then go to 2.25 or can I go to 2mg? I've had PMR for five years and feel normal again, thought I would never get here.

Hello Everyone - It has been awhile again as I have felt reluctant to come to terms with the now clear FACT that my PMR/GCA have never really disappeared after 7 years. I am still on my lowest dose of 8.5mg of Pred which I have been unable to reduce any further - especially in the last few months with

Zytiga is 1000 MG a day and Prednisone is two 5MG a day. Any suggestions is appreciated. Thank you all.
