New pain, flare or new issues?
Last week I saw my primary care doctor’s Nurse Practitioner who said the back pain was coming from the back muscles that are under and by the shoulder blades and suggested Aleve on a limited basis because I’m taking
prednisone
. He also gave me some exercises.

Red Eye Update
Hi,I posted a few days ago about keep having a bloodshot eye. Now on 4th since the beginning of the month!! Or maybe they never actually completely go in the first place, only disappear from the visible part of my eye? I went to the MEC clinic at Specsavers and after various tests and examining my eyes

Next treatment options available for advancing disease
I have switched
prednisone
for dexamethasone and haven't had an updated blood test yet to see if has improved. Had consult with oncologist and urologist and I have 3 treatment option available. 1. Docetaxel or Cabazitaxel. 10 treatments.

Long Haul Travel
I am contemplating a long haul trip, I am currently tapering from 3mg to 2.5mg using DL's 'Ultra Slow Reduction over 14 weeks'. I have just started the taper, I am at week 1, second day. My question is how should I take my medication to adjust to traveling to a different time zone? I live in

Pluvicto Aftereffects SMART syndrome?

Wary of covid autumn booster
Hi, You can read from my profile that I am aware that there COULD be a link between the Pfizer jab (Comirnaty) that I had in November 2021 and the onset of PMR soon after. I had had two AstraZenica jabs prior to this earlier in 2021 with no adverse effects whatsoever. While on 6mg prednisolone, in

PMR and MS
I was diagnosed with PMR in 2014 and put onto 15mg Prednisolone. I struggled to reduce the dose over the next 6 years never getting below 3.5. In 2020 my Rheumy Consultant sent me for a brain scan as “it’s the only bit of you we’ve never looked at!” Scan showed I was in the Secondary Progressive phase

Anybody else with autoimmune anemia?
I wondered if there's anything I can take for it other than
prednisone
? I know anemia aggravates afib, as does
prednisone
. (I've had lupus for 20 years- anemia is the only symptom I've ever had- most of my inflammation markers are normal)

Is there seasonality to testosterone levels?
My ADT treatments (Lupron/Abiraterone/
Prednisone
) ended on May 02 2023 at which point both my PSA and Testosterone were flat lined. Here are the results of the four times I have been tested since the end of the ADT.

Steroids _ I hate them!
I have been on prednisolone for 12 years because of Lupus, I am on 5mg daily. Two years ago I started Sarilumab SC injection once a fortnight which appears to be working . I really want to come off prednisolone, to try and get some weight off. My Consultant was going through my drugs

Do you have flares and them have to take more
prednisone
?? I have to have a hip replacement and my surgeon is worried about an infection as this could be really dangerous for me.

Tapering and adrenals
Tapering and adrenals.I am currently at 7.5 mg prednisolone. I've been slowly tapering by half an mg every four weeks for nearly a year. This has worked well. This tapering follows a pattern: first 2/3 weeks super, nearly pain-free then niggles and after niggles subside, reduction, then ok again. I

Reducing steroids after illness
I should know this and I have written it down somewhere. When I first had the acute urinary infection I doubled up from 5mgs of Prednisolone to 10 and my CRP was 270, it was 70 last week and I was told to continue doubling until I had finished the antibiotics which I did today. As it is only 12 days

prednisone lowering dosage
hi there everyone, so since I wrote here I was on 9 mg of
prednisone
a day I have managed to get down to 5mgs a day, which right now seems the lowest I can get to, although I will try again in two weeks.
