I'm on
prednisone
since mid April and so far have been able go from 30 mg to 22.5mg a day Body feels fine but getting cramps only on my right hand which I use alot. Is this a pmr or
prednisone
side affect or could I have some sort of arthritis also

Considering whether the AFib is from asthma inhaler.
Blame it on
prednisone
? Adrenal insufficiency ? My asthma inhaler? I decided to contact my pulmonary to, perhaps, change the inhaler, Breo, which has arrhythmia as an adverse effect. A person on my pulmonary support group had that happen to her and I see a study suggesting a connection.

Comment on exercise and fitness
Increase time/distance and maybe in a year you will be able to do the same distance as before PMR albeit at the lower intensity level. 3.Avoid strength training because muscle recovery is very hard while on

Bee Sting and Prednisone
This is probably the most trivial question that I have asked the group thus far, but I was just stung in the neck (right where the lymph nodes in my throat reside) by a very angry bee and I was wondering if there are any issues with bee stings when one is on
prednisone
?

Mycophenolate
I have large vessel vasculitis and have been treated with a combination of Methotrexate and
Prednisone
. The consultant is considering switching Methotrexate to Mycophenolate. Does anyone have any experience of this drug? Many thanks

After a long 8 years and 3 months with PMR, a week ago I weaned off
prednisone
. I had been at 1mg for months then went to 1/2 then alternate days. I have had a few aches but nothing of the old pain and discomfort. Each day is better. Just the back and neck issues from stenosis now !

Night time prednisone
In the US, I have been taking
prednisone
at night...trying for 2 AM as suggested, but finding insomnia of sorts. Recently taken at 1 AM, but even this which works fine, causes me to awake around 11:30 PM and I try to make it to 2 AM, but struggle and end up taking my 20 mg between 12-1 AM....

Update on my father
He’s been on ADT - Eligard shots every 3 months and
prednisone
+ zytiga everyday. It’s challenging as I work with him and see all the ins and outs of his behaviour while on those meds. He remains undetectable on the psa scale as of now (<0.02) Diagnosis in 2019 .

8/4/2023 Update
To review, after 19 months on Lupron, Zytiga,
prednisone
, PSA increased on 1/23 to 0.253, then 0.309 on 2/21. Plarify scan showed only one active site in hip which was radiated. 4/4 PSA dropped to 0.24 which indicated the lesion was knocked out and I would be hormone sensitive and stay on Zytiga.

Bleeding after salvage radiation
Currently about one year into Lupron + Abiraterone +
prednisone
. Recently experienced very mild rectal and/or blood in stool. Is this likely due to the radiation, or something else?

Ozempic, Wegovy, Mounjaro, etc?
She’s been able to taper to a pretty low dose of
prednisone
-but this last flare was bad. I’m wondering if any of you have tried the diabetic/weight loss drugs that are out now, and if they have had any effect on your PMR?

Another auto immune condition: Lichen sclerosus
I was diagnosed with PMR in April 2019, and with a few flares I'm now on 4.5mg
prednisone
. Lichen sclerosus is an unpleasant condition, mostly post-menopausal women, no known cure, just topical steroids which 'may help with symptoms'.

Minor change in psa - reason to be concern?
He is currently on Eligard (March 26, 30mg every 3 months) and Abitaterone ( May 15, abiraterone 1000mg with 5 mg
prednisone
). He will do radiation in September. Any insights on whether he should connect with his doctor? These results are just posted on his online chart at them moment.

GCA relapse?
Went to rheum and she put me back on
prednisone
20mg to taper weekly 2.5mg. I haven’t started it yet. I’m already on methotrexate and Abatacept. I guess I am worried about effects of long term steroids vs GCA. Does anyone else worry about this? does it sound like a relapse?

Endo is recommending radioactive iodine
I've heard a short course of
prednisone
helps in preventing the development of TED. But by how much? Safety: my partner is severely immunocompromised. The leaflet says to keep away for 14 days after RAI treatment. But it also says stay away for 24 days if in close proximity with someone.

Heart rhythm workup. Increase prednisone?
I have been tapering down to 7 1/2 from 7 3/4. Last week I had an episode a very fast pulse and extremely high blood pressure and went to the hospital. Of course the vital signs were perfect in the hospital the next day, my doctor had a special monitor applied. Called ZiO. The purpose is to catch any

Vacationing
I haven’t traveled since before the pandemic but that was also the last time I had to take
prednisone
. I also used to travel for two weeks so I had time for my asthma to calm down before returning on an airplane.
