Hand cramp
It could be several things. Your doctor would be the best person to diagnose the problem. When you say cramps does that mean all fingers hurt to move or is it in the palm?
It does not sound paricularly like PMR symptoms. Do you take vitamin D? Have you had your levels checked? Do you do anything that might over exercise your hand at all? As I said the best thing is to talk to your doctor.
~I occasionally get nasty cramp just in left hand which can be painful with the curling of the hand under itself - more magnesium required Rheumie told me. Take orally + have a cream which works wonders.
Same goes for leg-foot cramps also - Epsom salts in a tub of warm water + does wonders for sleep if done in evening
My fingers were affected during the early days of PMR although I was only on 15 mgs prednisone. I recall another PMR sufferer who was a guitar player whose hands were affected. My pain sometimes happened at night while in bed. It is probably overuse. Give your hands a rest. Don't use as much. My pain eventually went away as I reduced pred.
Have you tried magnesium supplements or sprays or foot baths with Epsom salts? One cause of cramp is lack of magnesium, Another possibility is compression of a nerve somewhere in the arm.
I started to get cramps in my toes andvat different times my lower leg. Its seens to have gone for now but was very odd
