Hi there (newbie)
I was placed on both aspirin and anti-platelet Med
Prasugrel
for twelve months to avoid any clots from forming around the new stent. I do not smoke, only drink a glass or two of wine on weekends and drink decaffeinated tea and coffee.

Sensitive to medication
Prasugrel
finished after a year and the diarrhoea finally started to slow down. I can’t remember feeling well for all this time despite having changed my diet completely . I have lost2.1/2 stone. Plant based with fish and occasional chicken. I really cannot see what else I can do.

Feeling a Bit Frightened and Anxious...
So back to local GP with an exchange of aspirin to edoxaban and the old
prasugrel
to a new medication of clopidogrel. All the other things like eplerenone, ramiprill, atorvastatin, bisoprolol etc just the same. But he also has two hernias that cause quite a lot of discomfort.

Cardiac MRI Finds Thrombus
Apparently he needs to start clopidogrel and edoxaban instead of aspirin and
prasugrel
. The rest: atorvastatin, bisprolol, eplerenone, lansoprazole and rampril can continue as per usual. Anyone else had a thrombus following HA and stents?

Just an update
I have been put on Effient aka
Prasugrel
. Has anyone had any experience with this drug? Also, my pre op labs revealed that my platelets are up to 923, hematocrit 50.1, WBC 17.84, RBC 5.9 so everything has gone up a lot in 4 weeks. Thankfully, I see a REAL MPN specialist on November 8th.

Anti platelet tablets
I’ve also stopped the anti platelet
Prasugrel
. I’ve struggled with the meds for the year but I feel anxious all the same not taking this any more. Some people are given them for a year some others have them longer. I don’t really understand why some carry on longer.

Coming off of Prasugrel
Hi friends! I have been on the above anti platelet drug for a year, plan is to come off of this now. Anybody have experience of stopping this or similar drugs like Clopidogrel?

Any side effects from stopping Prasugrel
My GP has now stopped my
Prasugrel
after 18 months as prescribed by the Cardiologist. Are there likely to be any side effects?

Candesartan
I’m giving up
prasugrel
in September ( that worries me - because artery furring will be all down to me then. I’m doing my best) I’ve had severe diarrhoea since starting heart meds , can’t find what’s causing it but since I dropped from 2.5mg Bisoprilol to 1.25mg it’s easier.

Take my breath away ... and singing 🎸
I understand bisopropol and
prasugrel
can cause breathlessness whereas eplerenone and ramipril add the cough. I wonder if there are any guitarists or vocalists out there who can empathise, advise or commiserate ? I think he’s feeling a bit depressed which is why I reached out ... thanks.

Liver and Kidney Ultra-sound Results
We were particularly concerned about my GGT scores and was this related to tablets (bisporolol,
Prasugrel
, atorvastatin, aspirin, ramipril, ) I was on after my heart attack on 31/12/19 or was it drinking related etc.

New recommendations for Anticoagulants &for Anti Platelets from US
"There is limited data for ticagrelor and
prasugrel
as part of [DAPT], so I think the default P2Y12 inhibitor should really be clopidogrel," said Dr Kumbhani. For patients with AF undergoing PCI, switching from warfarin to a direct oral AC (DOAC) is recommended.

Do you have constant low level back pain at the bottom of your back?
The drugs are Candesartan, Asprin,
Prasugrel
, Bisoprolol and Pravastatin. When on so many drugs it’s difficult to know which one it might be.
