Hi friends!

I have been on the above anti platelet drug for a year, plan is to come off of this now.

Anybody have experience of stopping this or similar drugs like Clopidogrel?

Hi wildmeadow. I came off clopidigrel just over a year ago after being on it the usual year period. No problem with stopping and the added bonus of no more bruises appearing overnight! Best wishes x

Hi wildmeadow, I came off prasugrel after a year without any problems. I just kept on with my daily aspirin. Bruising now all gone and I am continuing to monitor what seems to be a generic low platelet count that I have. Please let us know how you get on.

I have been on Clopidogrel for five years, I only come off it when I have to have an operation, this hasn't presented a problem at all. I prefer Clopidogrel , I don't have to have any blood tests.
