I had mystery bruises when on Warfarn, but none with Apixaban

Pradaxa may be the cause. Why are you on an anticoagulant? If you have been on it for some time, and the bruises are new, labs would probably be indicated. Assuming there is nothing else going on, and the anticoagulation is indicated, switching to a different NOAC or warfarin would be worth a try.

Was on Warfarin for several years, but out of balance more than 50% of the time. Pradaxa has been very good to me until now. Chadvasc of 4, so something is certainly needed.

I am remodeling a house and find myself with many bruises due to bumps and falls. I stopped taking turmeric and have been trying to be aware of any herbs or foods which may cause blood thinning because I am on pradaxa.

Read somewhere turmeric was a no no, but

Can’t remember if that was with NOACs or Levo.

It’s NOACs magnifies the anti-clotting effect
