Is anyone here on 75 mg of Pradaxa?

Hi I could use an opinion, OK 65, 18 stone and AFIB, taking Pradaxa and a recent failure on Cardioversion. the temptation to try Flight of the Gibbon zip line in Chiang Mai Thailand is very high for me it looks amazing!

I had a TIA last month unfortunately and am now on a warfarin equivalent, pradaxa Dabigatran etexilate. I am now pursuing the possibility of an ablation and am waiting to see an electrocardiologist. The question is can one have a pulmonary vein ablation when one has already had a TIA?

Hi, well I went this morning for my Warfarin control and guess what....it was still too low, I've now been put on Dabigatran (Pradaxa). I so hope this works out as I'm totally fed up with Warfarin, a complete nightmare. Anything I should know about this med?

Another trial included 123 patients taking Pradaxa who received Praxbind because of uncontrolled bleeding or because they required emergency surgery.

very annoying when you have a cup of tea in your hand when the shooting pain comes in makes you jerk a bit, 2 weeks ago I was admitted to hospital with severe chest pains they found that I had an irregular heartbeat I am now waiting for a angigram, but in the mean time they gave me this medicine, PRADAXA

Long story short, Dr (polish) I think looked at me as though I was an alien when explained about the Pradaxa , then looked the nurse the same, asked if was on warfarin, and then proceeded.

I recently had a lot of trouble finding a bracelet to advise that in the event of an emergency I was taking Pradaxa. Easy to get a metal one but as I wear some other jewellery I thought it would look over the top.

Hi. I am on anticoagulant proferone did not agree as my blood pressure tends to be on low side and heart was racing. What other meds may be suitable please. Bega blockers are just a disaster. Would really appreciate some advice.

I am on Pradaxa and Bisoporol and up to now no further symptoms.I want to travel to France.

Consultant took me off amiodarone and dabigatran (pradaxa) and statins in march. A week ago after an episode doc at ae put me on 5mg bisoprolol.

On amiodarone and pradaxa so hopefully this should prevent TIA (which is what I have had in the past), So bedtime now and hopefully a peaceful night. Sweet dreams to all. Mags

Prof Hughes agreed that she should move onto a more effective medication but was reluctant to keep her on the Heparin because of the injecting, so she has been on Pradaxa for 2 weeks now.

Is it okay to take aspirin if you are taking Pradaxa?

I know that some of the new anti- coags are 1x daily and some 2x (ie my Pradaxa) They have a very short time being effective and this is important when there is no antidote. Thus adjustments need to be made due to time differences.

I never see any posting from anyone that is on Pradaxa, surely I cant be the only one. It would be nice to know

He knew from the Dentist's records that I have been taking Pradaxa for 7 months. After the treatment I asked him if Pradaxa was a problem to him. He said that as far as my treatment was concerned there had been very little bleeding so it was not a problem.

I`ve been on Pradaxa for 5 months and after a very dodgy first 3 months think my body is getting used to it (my bowels aren`t yet though). Havent had blood test for kidneys as it seems should be done but going to GP Monday and will ask him about that.

After 18 hours I was discharged with 1.25 Bisoprolol and Pradaxa. On reading the leaflet when I got home I didn't take the pradaxa as I had a previous gastro bleed (black stools) in July, I did have an endoscopy and colonoscopy and they put it down to aspirin.
