Hi. I am on anticoagulant proferone did not agree as my blood pressure tends to be on low side and heart was racing.

What other meds may be suitable please. Bega blockers are just a disaster. Would really appreciate some advice.

Hello Pacific. I've had no side effects after eight months on Rivoraxoban. The betablocker I take is bisoprolol. I did halve the dose of my own accord because it made me feel very lethargic. My EP said that was the right thing to do. I hope you find a solution!

Well I am taking Pradaxa, as a blood thinner and it seems to work fine.......I have been taking Diltiazem one dose a day of 180 also and I think it is a good combo. They are ok together ............Verapanil, the other calcium channel blocker does not work well with Pradaxa my cardiologist told me recently,

I recently went through a time of feeling very burnt out and was concerned it might be the Diltiazem but I think I am just fried from the stress of selling Real Estate in California and it is not the drug after all. I do not have high blood pressure but they gave me the Diltiazem because my heart rate was in the 90's and now more like 70's. I have permanent afib or so my chart says....I refuse to take Beta Blockers they are horrible.

My poor Doctor has had a time of it trying to find drugs I was willing to take and tolerate. I did not want to take wayfarin because i want to eat green vegetables.......

Good luck to you with everything

I had very low blood pressure and took Pradaxa and it had absolutely no effect on my BP, don't logically see how it could?

Bisoprolol was not a nice drug to take but the one benefit I got from it was that it did stabilise my BP. Completely contra to logic I know as it is used to lower BP, but my GP said it would help stabilise it and it did.

Best wishes CD

I take Prodaxa and also take half my prescribed bisoprol by choice, GP was fine with this. I did not feel brilliant but after a life time of low bp also, it suddenly decided to go up ,not massively but my new GP decided it was best to bring it down and I now take a third tablet Losartin, which helps keeps your blood vessels open I believe. After about 2 months of takeing these 3 I have felt much better to the point my hubby said he has his old wife back. With starting to feel better I also managed to lose 12kg in weight which has improved my self esteem too. Good luck in finding what works for you !
