Never been on Wafarin but was on Pradaxa, my choice, for 18 months. It's just important to take it after food otherwise it can cause gastric discomfort, other than that it was simple. No worries about testing, easy to travel, no problems with bleeding other than cuts etc take a little longer and need pressure for longer.
Having said that, many others much prefer Wafarin, it really is personal choice.

Hi Rumpie
Probably best just to read the FAQs post on the right of the main page about anti-coagulants, that reallly sums up the differences, and many of the points of view, as Cdreamer says, it's now largely a personal choice
Be well

I am on Warfarin , never had Pradaxa so can't comment on it but I asked my doctor why I was on Warfarin and was it to do with cost and he said no not cost but as far he is concerned being the doctor if you should have any clotting problems for any reason that there is an antidote to Warfarin but with Pradaxa there isn't ?
Hi rumpie,
I was taking Warfarin from August last yearand have just taken my first tablet of Pradaxa this morning.I was told about possible heart burn with this drug so i had a small yoguart and cerial befor taking it.The reason for the change of medication is that my hair was coming out whilst on Warfrin.
Thanks for your reply rumpie.
