Private Homeopath has prescribed me Armour NDT for a lazy Thyroid Condition
Hi all After posting my last full thyroid blood test results on here a few weeks ago, I decided to see a Private GP in North London. After going through my medical history and the results he has prescribed me 1/2 grain of Armour, rising to 1 grain in a month's time. He said I have a lazy thyroid, not

Long-Term Antithyroid Drug Treatment: A Systematic Review and Meta-Analysis
We have read of too many Graves sufferers being pushed towards either radioactive iodine treatment or surgery. We have also seen quite a few who have stuck with anti-thyroid medicines for many years. Clearly opposing viewpoints. Good to see a paper specifically looking at long term use of anti-thyroid

PA or not PA?
Hi, I have a family history of PA, though I have never been diagnosed myself. I have been Hypothyroid for 5 years, since having had RAI for Hyperthyroid in 2013. I have posted the results for those on the TUK site. I wondered if someone would be able to take a look at these results and let me know what

Iodine and selenium testing in Uk- worth the fight?
Hi all, So recently I feel like I may actually be iodine deficient and because of hashimotos I have actively been avoiding it in supplements and my diet is prob low in it too. I always crave fish and seafood and wonder if this is more a biological craving for iodine possibly. I’ve also been supplementing

How to talk to my employer about my condition.
Hi everyone, I wondered if anyone has some advice of how to explain my thyroid condition to employers? I’m constantly off with infections and viruses and they don’t just take a couple of days to clear. I had a blood test to check my T3 today and I’m convinced that the results may hold the answer. I’ve

Update after vitamin B injections, feeling so much better
It's awesome how much better I feel. Last week I had loading dose of B1 (33mg) B6 (33mg) B12 (0.33 mg) injection. Three injections in 4 days. And now I feel fast improvement. Muscular fatigue is moderate, can climb up stairs without feeling exhausted. Appetite increased and digestion improved.

Graves Disease - RAI 2005 - long term consequences.
Hi there, thank you in advance for reading the following :- Why would I experience symptoms of RAI some eight years post treatment ? For the last 4 years I became very unwell with no saliva and a dry and burning mouth. My dentist suggested Sjogrens and I was referred in 2015. This came back negative

Hashimoto and Kelp
Hi there, I was listening to Dr Berg who said hashimotos patients should take iodine supplements. I have purchased 400 Kelp but reading further this may be detrimental to Hashi patients. I haven't been tested for iodine levels. I would appreciate your comments

The role of vitamin B -12 in Thyroid health
To encourage both to be at their best, special attention need to be paid to thyroid gland health and vitamin B-12 intake. Acute Pelvic Pain
Hello, all! Has anyone else experienced stabbing pelvic pain and muscle spasms in upper legs while on synthroid? For background, I had my thyroid removed a year ago for cancer and then had radioactive iodine. I’m currently on 150 mcg for synthroid and it’s working fine. But I went to the emergency

Vitamin deficiency is becoming an epidemic in the USA and mimics a lot of other illness but doctors aren't telling you!
My husband and I felt the same way for many years until we were diagnosed with vitamin deficiency not by a doctor but a vegetarian nurse practitioner she saved our lives. Can anyone help with my test results?
I just got my results back from Medichecks and I want some guidance in the potential implication of my results before I see my GP. I am on 100mg of levothroxine.
