Aneurysm having Myocardial Perfusion Stress test
Hi I would really love to hear from anyone that as an aneurysm (mine is 4.4cm) and had a Myocardial Perfusion stress test. I am booked in to have one on the 12th October and I'm worried if my aneurysm can take the strain.

Do NHS cardiologists accept & act on the results of private scans or do they have to be redone on the NHS?
Hi, I need to have either a CT angiogram or cardiac MRI or a myocardial perfusion scan. If I were to have any of these done privately would the NHS accept and act on those scans if they were to show that I need a procedure on my heart or do they make you have the scan all over again on the NHS? (I'm

Hello all I have just received some great news following a second MRI that my heart is now normal with no defects present following viral myocarditis and ongoing sensations of pain during up hill exercise. The results letter does not specify whether it is appropriate for me to now stop taking heart

Not a good report
There are nodules and fluid in my pelvis, as well as a mass and
pleural
effusion
in my lung. The plan is to start chemo next Friday and was told I would never be able to go back to oral treatment. I'm not sure. I knew I felt horrible. I just wasn't expecting this. Andi

EGFR Exon 20 NSCLC
- when he was diagnosed he had a large amount of fluid drained from his lung due to
pleural
effusion
. A biopsy was done on this and found no mutations. We paid for a Guardant 360 liquid biopsy and this came back with an EGFR Exon 20 mutation. My question is, can mutations change over time?

How to reduce infection risk ..?
The chemo due to start was delayed by an infection around the area they take the
pleural
/water
effusion
/discharge every few days. Seems like such a vulnerable area and one where we've not really been advised what to do to minimise the chances of this happening.

Distressing brain MRI
There is a 9mm ground glass opacity in the upper left lobe and I have a confirmed
pleural
effusion
. The PET scan did not identify any other mets, but the oncologist wants the brain MRI to ensure that this is clear. Possible lymph node involvement by the bronchus but not confirmed.

Myocardial Perfusion Part 2
Today I returned to the Heart Institute for the 2nd part of my stress test. I was injected again with a radioactive material following which I had an hour to eat fatty food then return for a repeat of the scans I had last week. All went well and I was able to return home a couple of hours later.

Ablation Update and Experience of Myocardial Perfusion Test
Good news is I have a new ablation date of 21 July providing my INR settles down. Meanwhile Ive had Part 1 of the stress test that looks at my arteries. I had to stop beta blockers for 48 hours and ensure I had no caffeine at all for 24 hours before the test. After I was hooked up the heart monitor

I had SRS to 4 brain mets about 13 months ago. They responded really well with 2 disappearing,1 shrinking and one

I went for an emergency chest X-ray and they found my
pleural
effusion
was covering 80 % of lung instead of the small amount of fluid normally there.

Ward Consultant said a Myocardial perfusion stress scan in December showed heart pumping fine. He couldn't explain
