Should add that I have taken
phenobarbital
for over 40 years and understand it can affect the liver. This is for epilepsy and non negotiable, as nothing else works. I am having another LTF in a month and had been doing dry January. I don't have any liver issue symptoms.

Should I continue taking Phenobarbital?
I was prescribed
Phenobarbital
for seizures, a few months ago. The Script was for 300 mg/night. I take 50 mg/day. This helps a lot, anxiety, maybe preventing future seizures? I dunno. There is an issue with liver function, so im wondering if anyone has come up against these kind of issues?

Liver Friendly Medication?
I still take
Phenobarbital
for a sleep aid. I am told that i was an uncooperative patient, fighting against treatment, and given, and prescribed Haldol. Through this experience, kind of in depth labs were run, liver enzymes were 230 some, they are supposed to be below 9. Not 90, not 900, just 9.

Epilepsy is controllable
Seizure recurrences are frequent among HIV patients . Long-term anti-epileptic therapy needs to be considered, even after a single seizure. Phenytoin has been the most widely prescribed anti-epileptic drug for these patients, but a significant number of patients are likely to experience undesirable side-effects

Meds for Gastritis from IBrance?
This can imply that even low doses of
phenobarbital
can potentially diminish the effectiveness of iBrance, but it’s unclear to what degree.

All Of Me
Really all I know for sure is I’m allergic to
phenobarbital
, and anything containing dopamine magnifies this condition 10 fold. I am now working to get back in to see my local primary neurologist.

I rang The helpline today and what a relief it was to speak to someone who actually understood how it is to live with someone who has a brain injury! She suggested I came on her so here I am! My husband is 57 and was knocked down by a car 51 years ago. He was on phenobarbitone for 6 months and then
