Newly diagnosed AFib 40 year old
Hello everyone, last week I was diagnosed with persistent afib with lbbb and I'm terrified. I've been discharged with a bag of meds (bisoprolol, flecanide and rivaroxaban) and on the list for an ablation. I haven't been given much info and investigated everything myself. I just feel utterly depressed

Pills Can Cause More Problems
Here's my story: I've had AF for 18 years and have certainly suffered over that time. After 3 ablations and still having arrhythmia which included the following info copied from ECG July 2022 :
Atrial flutter with variable AV block with premature ventricular or aberrantly conducted complexes[

Terrible nights when in afib
Hi everyone, I posted yesterday about stress and afib episodes. I now have another question."Do any of you have bad night's sleep when in afib, constant wakening, sweating etc?" If so any advice would be welcome. I am still in afib since the early hours of Saturday morning but much slower, feel tired

Pace and ablate for atrial tachycardia?
Just wondering..... The evidence here and elsewhere suggests that pace and ablate comprises a good option for many of those folks in later life who have very symptomatic persistent/permanent AF and for whom cardioversion no longer works. We also know that one or more ablations, whilst on the face of

I was browsing through the online Tabloids, and came across this. Opinions from the well informed would be appreciated please! "I was right about beta blocker Earlier this month I answered a reader’s question about her husband’s heart condition, atrial fibrillation. He was taking a medicine called

Learn CPR and Defibrillator training
More people need CPR training. Not enough people do. I am an ex Nurse and Firefighter and seen first hand the benefits of learning CPR ect. I now have my First Aid Instructor qualification and teach Basic Life Support-CPR-Defibrillator training. My own training has helped me in 2 different situations

Esophagus pain after cardioversion
I had a cardioversion for AF a week ago, been in NSR since then. It was my second one this month, previous one was 2 weeks before that. Since this last cardioversion I have had mild-to-moderate esophagus pain and some stomach pain. I can tell the chest pain is esophageal and not heart because its
