Best Support To Send

Last year I had (non-breast cancer. Some dark times post-op, muchly lightened by a care package some friends put together and sent me. Books, gentle toiletries, that kind of thing.

Anything you would recommend for a friend who’s had a sudden diagnosis & speedy Mastectomy? I know even behind send not wholly appropriate things shows support and has value for the recipient, but I’d like to maximise its relevance…

Any suggestions?

Thanks

I enjoyed when a friend sent some groceries. Pre-made items my family could have for dinner, as well as easy healthy snacks such as hummus and pre-cut veggies, pre-cut fruit, etc. It was a relief for me because I didnt like not being able to cook and make sure my family was eating well. I also received a package with spa items that I loved. Shower steamers, a cozy blanket, hand cream that smelled amazing, a beautiful card. For me in the beginning showers were few and far between, and those shower steamers were such a treat.

Thanks -it was especially the spa & self care items I was thinking of - good to know what’s appropriate. I’d never heard of Shower Steamers so that’s going on the list. Good shout 👍
