Hi All, I have currently been waiting since May for a perfusion MRI scan and have just been informed the earliest its likely to be is Nov unless I get a cancellation slot. I fully understand this as the NHS is very busy but I am now considering getting a scan done privately if possible.

Hey guys, Have any of you had one of these stress perfusion MRI scans? They show the blood flow to your heart muscle. I had mine last month and I have just got the results.

Hi, I need to have either a CT angiogram or cardiac MRI or a myocardial perfusion scan. If I were to have any of these done privately would the NHS accept and act on those scans if they were to show that I need a procedure on my heart or do they make you have the scan all over again on the NHS?

have recently had a perfusion scan at Papworth and had the results letter back today. It says I have ‘‘inducible ischaemia in the basal inferolateral myocardium’. Cant speak to the cardiologist until next week and I cant get a definitive explanation on Google so can anyone explain this for me?

Booked in for first week of august and please can anyone tell me will my head have to go into scanner as I am claustrophobic

Today I returned to the Heart Institute for the 2nd part of my stress test. I was injected again with a radioactive material following which I had an hour to eat fatty food then return for a repeat of the scans I had last week. All went well and I was able to return home a couple of hours later.

Good news is I have a new ablation date of 21 July providing my INR settles down. Meanwhile Ive had Part 1 of the stress test that looks at my arteries. I had to stop beta blockers for 48 hours and ensure I had no caffeine at all for 24 hours before the test. After I was hooked up the heart monitor

I know it is difficult to diagnose so I am going to be having a perfusion spectroscopy MRI to confirm. Unfortunately I have to wait 6-8 weeks for this before I even know what I’m dealing with. Any experiences of similar situations would be gratefully received. Many thanks.

Ward Consultant said a Myocardial perfusion stress scan in December showed heart pumping fine. He couldn't explain why I'm getting these symptoms. I suffer long covid and a group member suggested that I should enquire about microvascular angina.

I recently found out one of my bypass grafts didn't take (skeletonised RIMA to OM) and I have to undergo a cardiac MRI with perfusion test. I'm unfamiliar with this test, can anyone who has had it tell me what it entails and what it tells you?

Aside from having stress echocardiagram and being on a heart monitor whilst in hospital and due to have a second ablation (first 2020) I have now been referred for a myocardial perfusion test which I believe involves being injected with a radio active substance to enable the medics to view my arteries

It looks like I have an ischemic heart, which was diagnosed with a nuclear perfusion test. I don't feel pain frequently and I can exercise at a moderate pace without a problem. I do occasionally feel some sharp pain in my chest. My MO wants to start me on Docetaxel in a week.

Referred to Cardiology by doctors and other consultants because of signs/symptoms, finally told at Cardiology absolutely nothing wrong with my heart so why have I been referred for a Myocardial Perfusion Scan if nothing at all wrong.

Went onto warfarin. 2015 - to St Thomas's Triple positive Started on hydroxychloroquine 2015-date Cognitive difficulties - PET scan showing hypo perfusion in the temporal lobe. started azathioprine which seems to have helped.
