Covid for Christmas
Hi All, Posted two days ago about really feeling the cold post CABG (my op 10 months ago) and it making my chest ache and hurt. Well, it may also be hurting due to having just tested +ve for Covid. Seems Santa put me on the naughty list! Not felt too bad, just generally crummy the last few days but

Fear I may be joining your ‘club’ (-: AF indications on BP device. What’s next?
Hi all. I am 60, my history a Cardio stent in 2014 and recently told I have moderate aortic heart valve calcification. I keep fit and have no life style risk factors but I have a Genetic lipid condition, highly elevated lipoprotein (a). This triples my risk of stroke further development of CVD so

My Heart Story.
Hi all newbie here and my first post. By profession, I am a 60-year-old overweight taxi driver and I came across this site while in hospital waiting for CABGX4. In 2014, I was out of puff after push starting a vehicle for a neighbour and came over all sweaty and clammy. Wife phoned for ambulance and

Late Happy Christmas
I was busy enjoying Christmas Day, an event I was told in June 2020 I would not witness unless I had an urgently needed op. Well, i had that op, a CABG (3 grafts) and a Davids Procedure and i made it! So Happy Christmas (albeit late) and all the best for 2021. For those in need of that op - there are

Looking for encouragement
It’s been a tough month. Toward the end of the Oregon fires and smoke I started having digestive issues, bloating, then within days I looked 5 months pregnant. When I went in for my appt last Friday they took one look, said “jaundice” and admitted me to the hospital. That evening I had 1 and 1/2 liters

I was feeling okay.. until..
Hi all I just need to moan really so sorry 😔 . It’s taken me a while to start feeling more like myself since a&e, admission and then stent. The last few days I was starting to feel a bit better, less weird pains maybe just a couple of pinching pains a day, a bit more energy than last week etc, so

Wishing you all a Happy and Safe Christmas
A huge thank you to everyone who supported me in my partners journey through his wiggly veins, angina, numerous tests, failed stents and ultimately his CABG and AFib episodes this year. You are all superstars. Unfortunately his recovery has been longer and much harder then we’d planned for - but he

MAGNESIUM
I do not know if others have experienced this or not. I was suffering from ectopic heart beats after I had a stent fitted. So I started to take Magnesium Taurate and initially there was a difference. However that become difficult to get and so I purchased Magnesium Citrate which made no difference at

Fear of something terrible happening
Hi I have a congenital heart defect that was detected 2 years ago which mean my right artery is in the wrong place, running between the pumping chambers which sometimes cause angina type symptoms I’m under cardiologist and on waiting list for CABG hopefully by end of feb, there isn’t really any data

Has anyone got any positive outcomes from stage 4 esopogeal cancer with liver mets ? My partner who is 52 has just started palliative chemo for this and they have told him it’s not curable but hopefully treatable, he’s very positive in himself and feels clinically well, he has had a stent fitted and

Just not right!
My journey started April 2016 being diagnosed with coronary heart disease, went through CABG 4 weeks later. After recovery I just never felt as good as I had hoped and sure enough symptoms returned and June 2020 I had stents fitted. Still don’t feel anywhere near how I hoped to after these procedures

Post op pain after stent
Hi guys, just joined the site. Iv had 2 stents inserted in my main artery 10 days ago. I still have pain in my back and arm, plus a bit of breathlessness like before. The doc said I'd 90% blockage and he needed to do a lot to get stents in. I never had heart spray or heart pain meds as I was diagnosed

Thank you to everyone who wished me well today. All went well bit of calcification but don't need another stent. So time for a whisky 😇😎

Uncertain still as to when I should worry
So I had my stent in March all other arteries fine except left circumflex which has a moderate blockage (around 60%) deemed insignificant with FFR wire study and I’ve been doing everything right... stopped smoking taking regular meds eating healthy excercising. Quite a lot of people I’ve noticed say

Life insurance
Hi my husband had a heart attack In December 2018. He had a stent fitted. We are in the process of buying a house and I was wondering if anyone on here had successfully obtained life insurance. If not did you manage to get any other insurances to protect your home financially. Tia

Hi, New today
Hi all, I'm a 60 year old women, had a stent fitted about 6 weeks ago. I have never smoked, drink moderately and hardly anything now and eat a reasonably good diet. They say my problem is genetic. I had been doing regular exercise and strength training before I returned to my manual job last week, but
