My journey started April 2016 being diagnosed with coronary heart disease, went through CABG 4 weeks later. After recovery I just never felt as good as I had hoped and sure enough symptoms returned and June 2020 I had stents fitted. Still don’t feel anywhere near how I hoped to after these procedures and struggle with any sort of fitness due to occasional pain and constant shortness of breath. Chest feels heavy a lot of the time and I hear people say they get a new lease of life after such procedures but I feel I am far from this point? Anyone else been through similar or feel same?

Just not right!
Sounds familiar. I have ‘aggressive’ CAD. Had first stents fitted in 2012 and similarly felt ‘worse’ after procedure (compared with previously). Several stents later (eight) had CABG six weeks ago and still going thru recovery stage now but hoping will notice difference/feel better coming out other end after recovery. Previously, found myself just persevering with my situation and stubbornly continuing to be physically active which I think helped me keep disease at bay, achieved some improvement with symptoms with tweaks to prescribed meds etc. but I think your symptoms sound more challenging... sorry to hear you had stents so soon after your CABG, I hope you manage to find some improvement. I also found meditation, yoga, breathing exercises helped in small ways. Sorry I can’t offer more insight...
Thank you for your reply, have tried yoga etc but to no avail, similar to yourself I feel I am persevering with things when I should not be but getting nowhere with GP! Wishing you well in your recovery! 👍
Same here had heart attack oct 2016 cabg x3 feb 2018 on all sorts of meds still very breathless still some chest pain now and again but trying to soldier on 👍
Hello I do think it may be dependent on the amount of damage your Heart has sustained I don't think a Bypass can fix Damage it just cures symptoms ( if that makes sense )
I am open to correction !!!

Hear what you are saying but I did not have a heart attack so don’t believe there is any damage to heart. I hear so many, following the procedure, who say they have a new lease of life which is wonderful, just wish I felt the same! Thanks for your reply! 👍
Hi, I also was diagnosed with CAD and went through CABG x3 without having hart attack, one year later still feels some occasional pain but been told is normal, I noticed that stress accelerate a my pain si try to get this inder control. May I ask you how many baypasses you had and did you get stents on baypass or main arteries? Hope you get better and find solution to your problem.
