Newly diagnosed with adenocarcinoma of lung
Now have had a week's worth of targeted radiation to the head and started chemo last week;
pemetrexed
and carboplatin. Turns out I didn't have any of the "good" mutations they could work with better. MN now has medical cannabis so I'm going to try also cbd oil with a little THC.

Scanxiety
He is currently receiving maintenance
pemetrexed
and has been stable on this since diagnosis! He has a scan later today so the scanxiety is going to kick in just in time for Christmas! Does anybody have any tips on how to overcome scanxiety? Or how best to support my husband through it?

Switch to maintenance pemetrexed after only four cycles of pemetrexed/cisplatin?
She is due her 5th cycle on Thursday but the oncologist rang yesterday to tell her she would be getting maintenance
pemetrexed
only on Thursday instead.

Question re: decision to stop mum's treatment
They could only use
Pemetrexed
rather than a combination chemo because she took a stroke very soon after the diagnosis (we believe due to coming off her blood thinners to allow them to take a biopsy). Next up was Nivolumab.

GI issues or celiac as complication of longterm chemotherapy?
I've been off the grid all of June dealing with chronic diarhea while living with stage four NSCLC adenocarcinoma (stable) with
pemetrexed
(Alimta) treatment every three weeks. I was hospitalized for 6 days, yet every test has failed to find a cause.

Experiences with Chemo
My mum has had her 2nd lot of chemo (Cisplatin and
Pemetrexed
) and is doing very well on it. she has Lepto met which was affecting her speech a fair bit - after the 2nd chemo the speech got really bad then improved dramatically which we are hoping is a sign the chemo passed the BBB.

Mum diagnosed with stage 4 lung cancer - The fight is on!!
She starts chemo a week today with a combination of cisplatin and
pemetrexed
. Our focus has been to keep her positive (she really is, actually amazingly so) and keeping her fit and healthy.

Is our last option worth trying - pemetrexed/cistplatin and denosumab😞 desperate for advice
Given options of doing nothing, denosumab for bones or chemo (cistplatin again plus
pemetrexed
) and denosumab. Told may have 12 months with treatment or possibly longer as if responds can go on
pemetrexed
maintenance. Can anyone give me their experiences or advice.

Nintedanib and Docetaxel
I had
Pemetrexed
and Cisplatin finishing in April last year. I'm stage IV Lung cancer. I didn't have any maintenance for a variety of reasons and have kept very well. I have CT scans every 3 months and they keep saying, stable not much progression.

Tumour has grown!
She has had 3 gruelling rounds of carboplatin &
pemetrexed
for her stage IV NSCLC. We were delivered the blow on Friday that the chemo hasn't helped at all & the lung tumour has grown quite a bit. We are devastated that it hasn't helped & we're really confident it would at least be stable.

My mum has a rare NSCLC and has had 2 cycles of carboplatin &
pemetrexed
. On the 3rd cycle 2wks ago they dropped the carboplatin as her bloods were dropping too much. On Saturday she was admitted to hospital with chronic diarrhoea she is still in hospital now & there has been no improvement.
