July Life Update (warning, part of this might bring people down so skip what I suggest if you need to)
I’ve looked at what my insurance does cover and I’m going to ask to try
Paxil
as it’s the only thing covered I haven’t tried. I could be a lot worse. Zoloft does help keep me from getting so bad that I want to hurt myself, but I am so fatigued and numb.

Paroxetine/Paxil Experiences
Can anyone share any POSITIVE experiences with Paroxetine/
Paxil
please? I am aware of the withdrawal syndrome etc. so would rather not hear those (already went through hell with Venlafaxine withdrawal on more than one occasion, so I know how these things go).

Very anxious day
So today I woke up with crazy anxiety and I went down stairs to take my
Paxil
but when I stood up I found my self completely shaky and dizzy, heart rate going crazy, hyperventilating.

New here
I was a prisoner of
Paxil
for most of that time. I've been off of it for about 8 months and realize now that, while it helped, it numbed me. It was like a local anesthetic to my feelings. I'm now on lamotrigine, 175 mg. and slowly increasing, and I have no relief yet.

Does it ever stop?
I am currently taking 20 mg of
Paxil
a day and I feel like I am hanging on but always watching for a panic attack or watching for something bad its so exhausting physically and mentally and if something bad was wrong would I go get checked out or keeping telling myself that it’s anxiety and will go aways

I truly felt better on my
paxil
then these drugs. Help me with your opinions on the buspirone?? Am I the only one who feels it just makes you far more miserable?

I just changed my Antidepressant from
Paxil
to Wellbutruin. So far no changes. It has only been a week but I thought or hope it would make some difference.

Tightness in throat and chest with anxiety meds
I was very successful with
Paxil
for 20 years and all of a sudden it stopped working. I felt like someone was choking me and I couldn’t breathe. Thinking it was a medical issue, I had tons of testing done. Finally I decided to switch off
Paxil

Paxil quit working
13 years ago I was started on
Paxil
. I have extreme anxiety. A constant, nagging fear that I was never able to relieve. Constant BP spikes, very high, that caused my anxious mind even more fear. Goes to the couch, scared to move. A week after being on
Paxil
, it all went away. Gone...poof.

Medication/Paxil
I’ve been taking
Paxil
for about two-three weeks now and my depression has minimized substantially. Side effects sucked at first because I was getting nausea and waking up in the middle of the night. But now I feel okay. I was surprised on how quickly the medication worked. I wasn’t expecting that.

Can't shake this feeling
I have been on
Paxil
for pretty much the whole time I been dealing with this, and after my ER visit i requested to be put on Aditvan, so when i'm really stuck in that moment I can take one.

Alcohol and antidepressants?
I started with
Paxil
, but the side effects were really intense so, I switched to Zoloft a bit over a month ago. I've gotta say, the Zoloft has been a godsend. I am feeling so much better, Disassociating far less, and the past week or so have actually been HAPPY more often than not. Imagine that.

Allergic to meds?
I am wondering if anyone takes paroxetine(
Paxil
), Lipitor or Metformin and has experienced anything like this. A biopsy of my lesions said it was from a bug bite or medicinal allergy. Also, does anyone know if allergist or neurologist would test for this? Thanks!

Lost and Alone
I have been on klonopin and
paxil
for 2 weeks now and hoping that it starts helping soon. I feel so lost and out of control. I am so depressed and anxious, barely sleeping and feel so worthless and that everything is my fault. It is such a struggle to get up and go to work everyday.

Meds support please.
I already take
Paxil
abilify at night for depression anxiety and clonopin as needed. Trying to taper off adderral in the morning as doc and I think it’s causing panic attacks. But then why doc says I need to take welbutrin? I don’t want to take so many meds.
