Advice needed
I have been on all training courses for ADHD, Autism, FAS, even
parenting
courses which were useless because their way of
parenting
doesn't work on FASD kids, all fostering training too and because mum denied taking drugs and drink I can't get any further.

It's the Environment, Stupid.
My "clinical" depression is a result of: • A stressful
parenting
environment • Growing up impoverished • Having a multitude of siblings (from the same parents) • Having a mentally ill (Schizophrenic) brother that would go crazy • Inability to bring friends over to my house • Personal conflicts

Guidance for members
We all have different ways of
parenting
and different views -- that's what makes life interesting. Be respectful of others' views -- even when they are different to yours. Nothing tricky about it, just be a decent person. That's it ... go get started!

Alone.
I believe this is how I got a disability but bad
parenting
is associated with this. I am an adult which I am embarrass to admit. I bet you think that I am not.....I just am going to a "trigger" about my past that I became a disability.

Thoughts from a BFP
I couldn't handle the well meant baby advice being thrown at me, and actually lost one friend as a result of her not understanding why I still felt so delicate and didn't want her advice on
parenting
at that point.

The
parenting
is different for autism and other medical conditions, and so as the knowledge gathers pace about the statistics and issues, we may get more appropriate help from our LA and in School. Feeling more optimistic about getting a diagnosis in the near future.

Please help!
Hi, I'm hoping someone on here will be able to help me, I was recommended to come here from a
parenting
site. 10+ yrs ago I had Glandular Fever. That seems to have triggered whatever is wrong with me as I've been ill ever since.

How to access respite breaks for your children with autism/special needs.
Feelings of helplessness and depression set in as I questioned my
parenting
ability to my son and doubted my ability to cope. When isolation set in and became too much,I began to talk to people, teachers, doctors and other family members who had an idea of what support was available.
