Emollients - Epimax instead of Diprobase
The Fifty:50 I got isn't listed, but the British National Formulary has "Liquid and White Soft
Paraffin
Ointment, NPF", which is the same stuff (50% liquid
paraffin
, 50% white soft
paraffin
), at £4.57 for 500 g. Diprobase in the 500 g pump pack is £6.32.

Paraffin wax
Hi all, Can anyone recommend a good
paraffin
wax machine to use as a form of therapy? I have been told that it can help with pain and swelling and provide some comfort.

They stress that Vaseline etc. should NOT be used owing to the petroleum content and I see that E45 and Germalene have liquid
paraffin
in them. Sure I will get a reply within minutes. Love to all Tatters.

What about cosmetics?
Mineral Oil,
Paraffin
, and Petrolatum These petroleum products coat the skin like plastic – clogging pores and creating a build-up of toxins. They can disrupt hormonal activity.

Perhaps Stealing Is Sometimes Good...
We tip-toed round, exclaiming with each discovery...there was even a salt box, the contents long gone and several small
paraffin
lights...the type with a mirror at the back to reflect the light and make it brighter.

What emollient creams help most (e.g. Cetraben etc)
(Aqueous cream doesn't work for me...I react to something in it....and both a.c. and cetraben are
paraffin
based....so am thinking I may not tolerate cetraben)

Paraffin wax baths for hands and feet
Hi I've been having physio and wax baths for my hand arthritis. I've decided, on the recommendation of the physio, to buy my own treatment kit, but can't find anywhere that sells them, other than individual sellers on e-bay. Any ideas of reputable suppliers? And any feedback, if you are using one.

Any advice please re: lips curling in & mouth tightening. Anybody know if laser therapy helps? Have UCTD, raynauds & positive ANA's. Thanks
I even use a
paraffin
wax treatment daily to warm & soften it; the worse thing is the soreness at the corners and where lips curl in - talking and eating is difficult at times. So if anybody has any ideas or have had meds that seemed to slow down the tightening I'd be most grateful.

Are scented refined paraffin wax candles dangerous?
Hi I love burning a certain brand of scented
paraffin
wax candles but wonder if they can be dangerous for your health. I was alerted to an article on the internet that brought this into question which was published in 2009.

Can anyone please tell me if it is safe for my husband who is on oxygen 24/7 to use this cream. His whole body is very dry and scaly which make him scratch, no skin problems just very dry skin. I went on the web but there is no specific answer for the use of this cream, there are answers for hand

Double vision? Also job opportunity!
The wax itself is made from food grade
paraffin
wax instead of being vegetable based so it has a much more vibrant scent throw and longer lasting time than usual candles.. And will not heat higher to just above body temperature so safe around children and pets.
