Ultrasound endoscopy
I had and ultrasound endoscopy today to examine my pancreatic cyst. The Drs didn’t feel that a biopsy was necessary so I’m wondering and hoping that all is well. (Fingers crossed). All thoughts welcome.

5ARIs & PCa
New study, so a separate post, but will interest those who followed the recent Finasteride thread. This is more of the same. "A retrospective 20‐year cohort study in Saskatchewan men ..." "5ARI use was associated with lower risk of a PC diagnosis, regardless of comparison group. Risk of high‐grade PC

Pancreatitis
Hi all. I was wondering what happens to the pancreas during the Ivor Lewis operation - does it get moved much or does or remain in its normal position. I now have pancreatitis and, as I have had many complications since my initial operation, I am assuming this is also related. Has anyone else had pancreatitis

Treatment for groove pancreatitis
Groove pancreatitis I have been hospitalised 9 times with acute/chronic pancreatitis in the last 5 years. My last scan report said indicative of groove pancreatitis. As it only involves the head of the pancreas and the duodenum is there surgery that can remove the affected part,m and if so is it advisable

Testing For PC
Family Doctor never tested me for PC. Yearly blood tests for everything else. Found out at 66 years old when at stage 4 in hospital. Why?

Still struggling
Guys..I’m trying, I really am. I am STILL suffering through this whole idea that I have pancreatic cancer. I thought maybe after the CT if I gave It time, I would feel better but I just don’t. I feel awful. I feel like the stomach pains are becoming more frequent. Yesterday I wasn’t googling as much

Worried
History: my dad was diagnosed with PC after TURP procedure in September 2016. Gleason 4 + 3= 7. PSA 5.2. Tumor present in 10% of analized tissue. Theraphy: Casodex monotheraphy 150 mg for 5 months. PSA dropped to 0.17. Doctor decided to reduce Casodex to 50mg. Even though PSA in January 2018 was 0.53

Decompensated cirrhosis/pancreatic cyst/Alpha 1 advice/experience
Hi there! My dad was diagnosed a month ago with decompensated liver cirrhosis, which we now know was caused by Alpha 1 anti trypsin deficiency. Never drinks, never smokes, was fit and healthy until a couple of months ago where he took a steeper decline than Everest. This was found as he was been assessed

HGPIN & Statins.
New study below. In a recent thread on 5alpha-reductase inhibitors (e.g. Avodart/Dutasteride), which can dramatically reduce the incidence of indolent low-grade PCa, I posted a study that showed no benefit for men with high-grade PIN [HGPIN]. HGPIN is generally considered to advance to PCa within 12

PC treatments and liver cancer
Hello ALL ... an interesting point of observation after reading through some of the posts. I have been through the Zitiga, Xtandi and then Jevtana Chemo and i now have metastatic PC on my liver. The interesting point is others have reported similar situations after coming off these drugs. Oh yes my PSA
