Groove pancreatitis

I have been hospitalised 9 times with acute/chronic pancreatitis in the last 5 years.

My last scan report said indicative of groove pancreatitis.

As it only involves the head of the pancreas and the duodenum is there surgery that can remove the affected part,m and if so is it advisable.

Were scans with contrast? I’m concerned doctors missing something because they did not use contrast.
