Getting stronger
Tomorrow it will be 2 weeks I have been home. I have had a fantastic follow up by a cardiac nurse, who gave me a right bollocking. Firstly for doing too much walking and for not taking the right amount of pain killers. I am now doing 2x15 min walks and started the full paracetamol and codeine dosage.

What is your experience with pain & pain management?
Being in pain can be hard to deal with. If you experience this, how long does the pain last for you? What do you do when you feel pancreatic pain?

I was due to have an operation on my foot on Tuesday. Have had the pre op and it was identified that my platelets are low as are my white cells. They said they would order up platelets. Upshot is the condition of my sleen which is enlarged has been an issue from day 1. I understand that this is a feature

Good morning, I have had a wound on the top of my foot since last year in August, of which it has been a bother, as I have been to several Doctors, who have given me the same sort of treatment, such as antibiotics and pain killers. I went to our family

Aches and pains but not PMR/GCA
I’m now down to 10mg pred , having come down from 60mg, and I’ve started to ache all over and painkillers are pretty useless. Spoke to the GP, who immediately got me in for a blood test which has shown that my ESR is still down to a wonderful 2 but my white blood cell count is higher than before. She

Do I have endometriosis? Ovarian cysts.
Hi everyone, I’m new to this group and I haven’t been diagnosed with endometriosis but I really don’t know where to turn right now, I’m at a bit of a loss. I was wondering if anyone could give me reassurance that I’m not being a dramatic hypochondriac and also how do you broach the subject of endometriosis

Should I still be taking Omeprazole when the only pain killer I now take is paracetamol?
Good afternoon, Not posted before but have been thinking about reviewing my medication and am still on omeprazole as was taking NSAIDs for chronic back and neck pain. I have been unable to take NSAIDs since being diagnosed with AF in 2017 so wonder if I need to take them I take maybe 4 a day now as

How do you deal with liver pain?
Given that we all here see specialists and do tests, I want to ask you how you deal with liver pain. We can't have painkillers because they aggravate the liver. What do we do while waiting for doctors answer which I can't get any way... according to hundreds of imaging tests and fibroscan I am fine,

Few questions
Hi all I just been reading comments on Facebook pmr page about gca symptoms. There was a few I wondered if they were right. So going to ask. That pain both side of head just above/behind where yr glasses would go but worse on 1 side? Head pain comes and go and is on and off over several days or wks

My life with RLS, and the lengths I will go to for relief!
I am 58, and I have had RLS for 13 years. Or I was diagnosed 13 years ago. My story is crazy , and I'm sure some won't believe it. About 15 years ago I started having bad panic attacks! I would go to the ER. Several times a week. I was treated with Xanax. It worked well for me. But then I started getting

Zoladex just not helping?
Hi, Has anyone else had any experience of Zoladex just not helping? I’ve just had my 4th injection and I’m still in constant pain and on regular strong pain killers just to live! Aside from not having periods, which is the only silver lining, I’ve just not got any better - and it was almost promised
