Svt, ablation or pacemaker
Paid to see cardiologist who advised a
pacemaker
so that I could be pumped with high doses of flecanide and bisoprolol , because at moment I have had to cut out bisoprolol because heart rate is dropping too low, I accepted I was going to have a
pacemaker
and went for a visit to outpatients to discuss

I’m male, 86, weak heart, 3-lead
pacemaker
fitted. Been told kidneys ‘packingup’ along with diabetes. What best to delay the inevitable as I have plenty to live for!

Has anybody got a
pacemaker
treating AF? I am getting desperate for a fix, it is having too much of an impact on my day to day life, I can’t plan anything for fear that I will have to cancel it! I look forward to hearing your stories/solutions.

Pacemaker and Shock
Hi All I had a
pacemaker
put in the end of June. Yesterday I started to feel what I will call shocks in the breast under the side
pacemaker
installed. Sound familiar to anyone. BP excellent HR steady 60. No signs I am back in AFIB.

Out of breath while walking
My family has a history of high blood pressure, a grandmother had a
pacemaker
at 69 years old. My mother has hypertension, controlled by medicine. My father is fine at age 55. I had a lot of ECGs over the past year due to panic/anxiety attacks, it felt like my heart is going to explode.

Pacemakers and MRI
And how there is too much misinformation on this subject and no-one should be denied having an MRI because they have a
pacemaker
. I’ll see if I can find a link.

Going Vegan
Hi -- I have been planning to go vegan for a few months now to help save my kidneys -- but this was interrupted by multiple cardiac arrests in June, a diagnosis of AFib, and the insertion of a
pacemaker
and a defibrillator (ICD).

AV Node Deterioration
I had a temporary
pacemaker
fitted the next day and a permanent one installed on Tuesday (Thanks to Yeovil District Hospital!). It prevents my heart rate from dropping too much. The
pacemaker
only cuts in if my heart rate drops below 60 - so most of the time it is just monitoring things.

HF and pacemaker
I am now awaiting a biventricular
pacemaker
and subsequent AV node ablation which I am hoping will allow my EF to recover and resolve my HF. Has anyone else gone through a similar journey? If so, what was your experience?

Anxiety After Pacemaker surgery
The other day I had my
pacemaker
replaced. The old ones battery was running down. Everything went well but the next day I did not feel right (slight dizziness and nausea) and called the doctor. He told me to go to the emergency room.

Pacemaker in - all good
All done now & back on ward. It took 2 hours 30 minutes, I now have to wait for chest x-ray and then if all good I can go home in 4 hours, yeah. Bit sore now the local is wearing off but absolutely no pain during and I was quite chilled - literally as it was cold in the cath lab! Having my warm tea

pacemaker
just little more than month ago. It is set at 80. Due to circumstances beyond control have not yet seen dr. for follow up yet. Now waiting 10 days to see dr. I was very fatigued after with some better days.

AV node ablation failure?
I have PAF, and SSS, I had a
pacemaker
put in 6 years ago. Meds do not work well for me. 2 months ago I had an AV node ablation. It seems to have failed. I’m still getting Afib generated V tach and other atrial pacing. Anyone else have a failed AV node ablation?

general anaesthetic when wearing a pacemaker.
The problem is that I had local analgaesic injections because of my
pacemaker
. That was initially fine by me but, in the event, it was without a doubt the most painful procedure I have ever had to undergo, so much so that I am in dread of having it repeated.
