Adding Docetaxel to T3b?
My husband is 63, stage T3b N0M0. His biopsy showed all 12 cores positive with 80%+ cancer, GL 4+5 with
intraductal carcinoma
and original PSA was 12. According to PSMA pet scan 12 months ago, he has additional risk factors such as
ECE, SVI, PNI
, but no other spread. He has completed 39

New study from Spain [1]. For many years, I used a product that probably contained DES (diethylstilbestrol) - perhaps 1 mg? My QoL was very good. When I eventually migrated to 3 mg DES - plus a shot of testosterone cypionate every 3 months - I began to feel frail. The new study associates high

Speechless by my GP’s response
I messaged my GP surgery and requested a full thyroid blood test (not just TSH which is all I’ve been able to get since COVID) as well as iron, vits B and D tests. I’ve been feeling really rotten, and want to look at every potential reason. Now, bear in mind I have been on HRT (prescribed by them) for

What is role of hormonal therapy drug when taken with targeted therapy, eg Piqray or Ibrance?
I’ve been curious about this and wondering if anyone can explain. I want to better understand the role of the hormone therapy eg Faslodex when taken with targeted therapy such as Ibrance. Does it just reduce the amount of estrogen available to the cell and “lightens the load” on the targeted therapy?

Microvascular disease and oxygen therapy
It isn't obvious to me that bad MVA periods would be alleviated bybreathing oxygen. However, does anybody know whether oxygen can help? I am wondering if home oxygen might be a way of improving my bad nights? Thank you. Jonathan

Did you gain any weight when you talk HRT? I'm very concerned about this as I've read several reviews of people saying that they did and I haven't eaten disorder so that kind of thing terrifies me.

If feel a bit daft asking this here - but a very high DEXA score?
I had an ankle scan years ago as part of a work "well woman clinic" and was told I was borderline oestopenia Then as I had my ovaries out because of cysts I had a private dexa scan as a baseline for making decisions about hrt etc My results seemed a bit 'off' but everyone says oh it's fine (it probably

Saw a specialist
I saw a specialist in endometriosis last week and it was eye opening. I had to pay for it or wait 12 months so I opted to go private. I spent over an hour with him and he was incredible. He explained everything and was very practical. I had a list of questions and he answered all of them. I already know

Husband has passed
Well, group, sad news from our house. Pete has passed on. He seemed to be doing quite well with ADT treatment Lupron/ea 3 months, plus bone shot, and Abiraderone 250 mg daily for 2 1/2 yrs. Had all the terrible side effects you all experience. On no medication other than that. No other illnesses.

Stage 4. IMRT + HDR Brachytherapy
I have Stage 4 (metastasis in L2). Currently on ADT. I have chosen IMRT followed by HDR Brachytherapy. I'm starting IMRT in January 2024. What was you experience with this combination? Did it work? Any side effects? Thank you for your responses.

Which Treatment for These Biopsy Results?
I now have my biopsy results Gleason 3 + 4 ie 90% of 3 and 10% of 4 Grade 2 The consultant said it was Intermediate but at one point used the term Low intermediate. Is this latter term valid given the stats? T2a NO MO - but I am puzzled about this because although it was mostly all on the left side

Newly Diagnosed Polymyalgia
I am a 57 year old female living on a smallholding in the Welsh hills. I have historically suffered on/off back pain that tended to travel between my lumber and thoracic regions, the last three years being more on than off. I finally have a diagnosis, of quite frankly, a condition/disease that I had
