I have been on Symbicort Turbuhaler for a few years and it has been fine.
When I last went to get my script filled, the pharmacist asked if I wanted to try the Duoresp Spiromax - said it was exactly the same as Symbicort, but a better delivery method/easier to use inhaler.
I used it for 2 nights. Both nights I had excessive mucus in my throat and found it hard to swallow. Also had a dry tickle that made me cough. Also got lumps/ulcers on the roof of my mouth.
Switched back to Symbicort and the excessive mucus/tickly cough went away. Lumps/ulcers are gradually getting better.
Anyone else had similar experience?? Thank you.

No, I have used DuoResp Spiromax 320/9 dry powder inhaler for many years and it's by far the most effective inhaler I've ever been prescribed in my 48 years of asthma, (I started with asthma at the age of 29.) I can't praise it enough.
I have always used inhalers both morning and evening.
I have only used symbicort and I was diagnosed at 30. After having pneumonia during covid I now use a spacer every day to take the inhaler. I also have excessive mucus and take carbocistine to combat that. But excessive mucus only started after I had pneumonia.
