So far so good!
Hi lovely ladies! I posted a few weeks ago about my mam, who was about to start 4th line chemo and was quite unwell. I'm very happy to say (almost afraid in case I'll jinx it) that she is doing quite well and is in very good spirits. She was in hospital for 2 weeks, during which 11 litres of ascites

GemCarbo with Avastin
Is anybody else on these. My prognosis isn't wonderful but I have a very fulfilling life. Hoe is anybody else coping with this combination?

Post First Line Consultation Today
Saw consultant Today for post First line treatment (actually she was the surgeon who did my Debulking Op in August). Had bloods done 2 days ago. All bloods back in normal range except the dreaded CA125 which was 52 exactly the same as before last chemo. Nurse at GP surgery told me the results yesterday

£170 for taking part in Phone Research
Dear all I've popped in to your forum from the Ovarian Cancer Forum just to mention an opportunity to help with research with an international research company, M3 Global Research which gives participants a £170 cheque as a thank you. I've taken part in two research projects with this company. Both

Third line treatment imminent but not till the New Year.
Since my last post where I told you that the cancer had gone to the liver and next to the spleen, I have had my oncologist appointment. She told me that the as the growths in the lymph nodes had increased in volume plus there are new growths, the Avastin is not working and the cancer has managed to find

Avastin
I was on Avastin for 18 months. On July 29 I had severe diahreah and could not control it at all. I thought I have a virus and so did my doctor. The next day I was rushed to the emergency room I was almost unconscious . I was imediately taken into surgery. My bowel was perforated and I nearly died. If

4th line chemo
Hi, I dont think I have ever posted before though I have derived great comfort from reading others posts. I am in Ireland, my mam, who is 62, was diagnosed with stage 3c ovarian cancer in Dec 2012. Peritoneal carcinomatosis was also mentioned later so to be honest I dont know if maybe that is the more

continuing on avastin
I saw my oncologists last week and they are letting me continue on avastin after the 18 doses they initially said I could have. He looked up the documentation. (He was a locum consultant I think, brought in because the clinic was so busy). He said my last dose would be on the 5th November which would

Hi, I keep up to date on here but haven't posted for a while. It's looking likely I am in recurrence 15 months after finishing first line for stage 3c but I'm waiting for a scan for confirmation. My ca125 is up and I have the dreaded swollen tummy so it's pretty certain uunfortunately. I'm gutted obviously

IRISH DAILY MAIL
I am wondering have any of you read the article on page 4 of Good Health Section to today. It would appear that there is a new drug coming on stream called pazopanib which will work even better than Avastin. There is a trial starting in Uk and when they start over there, they probably do same here

Run out of chemo options. Clinical Trials now
Well I am finally writing the thing I hoped I would never have to do. On my 4th canceranniversary plus one day I had a scan and the results were not good in so much that my cancer is progressing. My long suffering oncologist has tried me on everything available and it seems that I am now chemo refractory
