The joy of the unclear diagnosis 😂
This is a verrrry long post!! If anyone actually reads to the end you have my full respect I’m a returning member to the forum. I used to be active when I was being treated for severe asthma. I used to routinely end up in hospital for basic chest infections, and struggled with chest aching and tightness

Acute Bronchitis advise
I have bad asthma and 95% of the time my regular colds turn into bronchitis. With wearing masks I have not had a cold or bronchitis for 2.5+ years. I am now on day 9 of bronchitis and was wondering if anyone can tell me how long the wheezing and lungs full of phlegm usually last with bronchitis? When

need advice from people who have had Omicron.
hi, I have bad asthma but Flovent keeps it under control in the summer months. I started having a sore throat and felt tired yesterday and tested positive for Covid. Today is the same. my question is for those who have had omicron specifically What days were the worst for you? The first few days

Could this be asthma? PFT results
23F, 123lbs, 10 years daily smoking marijuana. For 3 years I've had chronic daily phlegm - like hocking up a loogie. I started getting chest pains and some shortness of breath after quitting smoking 2 months ago. I have been on Flovent inhaler for 2 months but nothing before this. My PFT seems indicative

Flovent
I am sick with wheezing and coughing now and my doctor prescribed an inhaler called Flovent that CVS says will cost $266!! Can anyone suggest another drug for inflammation in the lungs that's not outrageously expensive? I was on Azythromycin for 6 days and it didn't do anything.

New Meds
Currently have issues with sinus and chest tightness . I am taking Flovent HFA , Levalbuterol, and mucinex . Dr. Just ordered Spiriva Respimat and montelukast . I read the side effects of montelukast (upper respiratory infections etc) . Has anybody had any issues with the side effects? And any thoughts

Asthma / A Fib
Hi everyone, I have asthma and paroxysmal A fib. I have always been on Flovent HFA . Just getting over sinusitis and I’ve been having trouble with chest tightness . Ive had to use my rescue inhaler at least once or twice a day. I feel like the Flovent isn’t helping anymore. Is there anyone that has

Nebuliser
Advice desperately needed. Pulmonologist has taken me off revlar ellipta and incruse as he said it’s not getting into lungs and prescribed atrovent and pulmicort nebulisers. After 6 days I’m certainly no better and maybe worse. I’ve finished the antibiotics and weaning off prednisone. My question for

Escaping!
Joke, not actually escaping, but hopefully going home in the next few days with an urgent follow up at Bart's as an outpatient (not inpatient, at least that's what I've understood). They're likely gonna send me home with a nebuliser though, so just wondering if there's anything I should be asking of

Adrenaline during asthma attacks
Anyone had this? How does it work? I had an adrenaline injection and the rest nebulised (along with hydrocortisone, magnesium, atrovent nebs, and salbutamol nebs) yesterday evening during a bad attack (silent parts of my chest again etc.). Not staying in any longer than needed being discharged today

Please help. How do I get rid of wheezing in my lungs after 3 long lung drainage sessions (including nasal sprays) a day? True, I have a cold. I have brochiectasis, sarcoidosis and lung fibrosis. The wheezing is really bothering me. Should I use my Atrovent inhaler more...would that help?

Despite doing three long sessions of drainage for my Sarcoidosis, Lung Fibrosis and Brochiectasis, I still get tickling sensations in the left lung. This is affecting my sleep. It goes on and on. Grunting and clearing....grunting and clearing. I had a terrible night last night, hardly slept.

I observe all the 'helps' and guidance from my Lung Specialist for brochiectasis, Lung Fibrosis & Sarcoidosis. He suggested two puffs of my Atrovent inhaler 15 minutes before my two postural lung drainage sessions. I find that the inhaler traps mucus whereas without the inhaler I get a lot out.

Even though I do over 2 hours lung drainage every day (1 hour morning , 15 mins afternoon, then another hour evening) I still get a tickling sensation and mucus left in the lungs - particularly the left lung which is the worst one. It means I am grunting for much of the day. Annoying for me and my

Sinusitis side effect with Atrovent and Spiriva
Hi, after a flare up of asthma I was given Atrovent in addition to my Fostair, prednisolone, antibiotics (I had a raised temperature) and anti histamine. After a few days I developed sinus symptoms (which I’ve had on and off for years). I feel awful whenever I get this, not intense pain, but a pressure

Add on of Atrovent
Hi, Hope everyone is well. I’m having another flare up of my asthma, it has been poorly controlled for about 6 months and I’m on my third lot of prednisolone. I’ve only ever been on one steroid inhaler which is currently Fostair 100/6, having switched to this from Duoresp Spiromax 320/9 a couple of

Hi everyone , Two years ago I was diagnosed with asthma. I have been taking Flovent HFA since then. No issues accept sometimes I do feel that I could use a little bit of opening up. Recently went to a new pulmonologist and Dr. recommended Breo . I liked Breo but it made me jittery and sometimes leg
