I am sick with wheezing and coughing now and my doctor prescribed an inhaler called Flovent that CVS says will cost $266!!

Can anyone suggest another drug for inflammation in the lungs that's not outrageously expensive? I was on Azythromycin for 6 days and it didn't do anything.

Flovent is an inhaled steroid. See if your Dr will prescribe you some Prednisone instead.

There are other inhaled steroids you can use; it depends more upon your insurance. Check with your pharmacist and doctor.
